Pr Report: Child Observation

Jeremy’s biological development has progressed exactly the way it should. I observed him interacting with his family. I was able to observe that he could process information and react to it in an acceptable manner. He was also walking, running, bending and performing many other tasks that a child his age should. He displayed good motor skills and development.

The children's mother (Tricia) lights and water are off in the home. The lights have been off for two to three months. The lights bill is over five-hundred dollars. It is unknown how long the water has been off. The lights and gas are always getting cut off. Three of the children (Myra, Chrisitan, and LA) go over their grandmother's (Mrs. Tean) on Sunday to take a bath. Anthony goes to the reporter's home. It is unknown how the toilet is being flush. The reporter brings Anthony food, and the other children's grandmother (Mrs. Tean) feed them. One time, Myra stated to Anthony that, "It is good you eaten. We have not eaten anything." It is unknown when this occurred. Tricia does not work. Tricia just lay in bed all day and do nothing. Tricia gets food stamps,

R/s Ashley pulls Trey (6) and Blaze (3) out of the home at 1 o’clock and 2 o’ clock in the morning. R/s Ashley is either taking the children out so she can go date men or to go partying. R/s a lot people goes in & out of the home during the day and night. R/s there is a possibility that the children are not fed properly. R/s it is alleged that Ashely is smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol in the presence of the children.

Per Reporter: Caitlin and the child lived with Lorraine for a while. Lorraine and Caitlin used to work together. While in the home with Lorraine, Caitlin was caught medicating the child with Benadryl or anything that cause drowsiness to make the child sleep at night. Caitlin would leave the child screaming at night. Caitlin screamed and cursed at the child due to her not wanting to deal with the her. Caitlin and the child moved in with Steven (Caitlin’s Ex) for a while. Steven stated that he was the primary caretaker for the child while at his home; Caitlin wouldn’t properly care for the child. On the event date above, CP attempted to conduct a schedule home visits to Selena Goodall residence. The CP was advised by Selena adoptive brother that she was not home. The CP then proceed to call Selena about her whereabouts. Selena apologized to the CP and stated that she is at Myan daycare center picking the child up. The Cp advised Selena that any point that she feels that she is running to call the CP immediately. The CP asked Selena about the status of the speech evaluator and Selena reports that she scheduled an appointment this up coming Saturday. The CP discussed about rescheduling the home visit for next week in the morning before Myan goes to daycare because the CP stated to Selena that the CP is booked in the evening and needs

However, Brianna said her boyfriend (Jonathan) also known as Jessica’s brother and their other sister (Heather) witnessed the physical abuse when it took place also. She said they were very upset with Jessica for the way she hit the child and they got on her case. Brianna said Jessica also verbally abuses both Trenton and Joseph by calling them things such as, “little bitty fuckers”. Brianna said she does not understand why Jessica treats the children so bad but she said she is concerned about their well being while with Thomas and Jessica. She also mentioned that about a month ago she witnessed Jessica kicking Joseph off the porch for not walking fast enough. She also mentioned that four months ago Joseph fell into a trash fire in the family’s yard and was burned really bad. It is unknown where Jessica was during the time of the incident or who was watching the child. Ebony, Gary and the children are staying at the Liberty Inn Hotel. The hotel is familiar with Ebony and Gary; they have been at the hotel 4-5 times this year. Gary is a known drug addict/dealer. The drugs are possibly being sold around the children. Ebony slaps the children a lot. A year ago, Gary snatched up Maurice, grabbed him by his collar or shirt. Whenever the children would return to Rodney they would have bruising on them. Kenyan is in the process of being evaluated; he defecates on himself, which may be caused by the constant change in locations. The school contacted Rodney 11/6/17 after the unsuccessful attempt to contact Ebony to inform him that Kenyan defecated on himself. Kenyan had a change of clothes; his dirty clothes were stored in a bag. Rodney attempted to contact Ebony, but she has not returned his call. Prior to making the report, the school confirmed that Ebony did return their call to follow up with Kenyan. Ebony’s oldest daughter (Avayana) lives in Texas with Marsha (maternal grandmother). R/s at the end of December, someone told her that Steven and April are pad locking Caleb in his bedroom. R/s two days later her parents were told the exact same thing from another person. R/s last year June, her father observed Caleb with the sores and bruises on his thighs and legs. R/s a friend of the family told her she needs to get Caleb out of Steven and April’s home. R/s Caleb told a family friend he wants to back home with his mother and not with his dad. R/s it is high recommended that Caleb be interviewed alone, away from his dad and April. R/s Caleb is afraid of April. R/s one time during a supervised visits in Dillion Caleb told her April hit him across the head with a spray can. R/s stated that Dillion worker Denise Whittington was presented but still allowed Caleb to go back in the home of Steven and April.

R/s Brayceson (13) is beating his young siblings up. R/s it was reported that Brayceson is touching Gabriella “Gabby” (5) in her private area. R/s in the past, Robert (dad) caught Brayceson in the closet with Gabby. Ian (16), Alexis (15) Mikayla (12), Zachary (10), Bianca (9), Connor (8), and McKinley (6) are also in the home.

She said Ethan told her that their mother was not there. It is unknown who the children were left at home with Nathalie said most of the time their mother leaves them with other children. Nathalie said she asked the children if they told their mother about the incident and they responded no. It is unknown if there were any witnesses around when the incidents took place. Nathalie said the children have not been displaying any type of sexual behaviors beside saying things such as, “it is coming out of my butt”. She also mentioned that the children are supposed to go visit with their mother every other weekend, but she said Billy said they are not going back. For this project, I observed my mother's preschool class and the three children which she baby-sits on weekends. Most of the kids that are in the preschool class were three years old, but there was one five year old. The kids I helped baby-sit were two twin three year old girls, and one five year old.

Child development is an amazing thing to watch in the way that children interact with one another and how they perceive the world that surrounds. While doing our research of child development we began to observe a group of kids ranging the ages 1 – 12. During these observations we noticed traits such as attachment, comfort, and love. Through the following examples we will proceed to observe development in our environment and explain its relativity to the text
