Abstract
Transparent conductive films of fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) electrospun on glass substrate were prepared. These transparent conductive films were prepared at a substrate temperature in the range 350-550 οC. A solution of SnCl2.2H2O in methanol and glacial acetic acid was used as a precursor. Hydrofluoric acid was added to the precursor solution as a dopant. The films were prepared in one single step and no further treatment is required. The distance between the spray nozzle and the substrate was in the range 2-10 cm, the liquid flow rate was in the range 10-50 ml/h, the duration of electrospinning was in the range 5-50 min and 15 -20 kV electrical potential was applied. The prepared films were characterized by means of XRD, SEM, FTIR and UV–VIS spectroscopy. The resistivity measurements were measured by the four-point probe technique. It was found that the films are transparent in the UV-Visible region and was about 70% and high reflective in the infra red region (99%).
