The big news last week was when President Trump lifted the sanctions on a Chinese business enterprise, ZTE. The story begins with, Trump’s own Commerce Department banning shipments of American technology to ZTE for seven years. Why? Because ZTE violated American's sanction's against countries banned by the United States, included Iran and North Korea. President Trumps own administration has said, ZTE was threatening national security by doing so. Another irony President Trump has long-claimed that China “is raping us” through unfair trade practices, stealing trade secrets and stealing American jobs. So why did he lift the sanctions? President Trump said that he will help save ZTE, a Chinese electronics maker, by lifting the sanctions
they will benefit from the profits. It’s clear that he understands the potential role of power that China
that other countries are making a lot of money off of Chinese products. In this document, He
The newly indicted President of the United States, Donald Trump had made an executive order to create an immigrant ban to prevent immigrants from entering and returning to the United States. Shortly after signed the order there was chaos due to Trumps lack of communication; Trump had signed the order as the official's were still discussing it. To continue, when the order was set Custom border control had received orders, however, they were quite unsure of what to do, more questions continue to raise about why trump had singed this order and why he was so quick to fulfill it. Officials of the Whitehouse had defended Trump's decision for the order and his reasoning for it.
He explained how the wealth of the middle-class citizens had been taken away when jobs were taken overseas. “Buy American, hire American (Trump),” he said was going to become America’s new slogan. Transferring these jobs/factories back onto American soil would allow us to shift people off welfare and transition them back into paid positions which would allow for a higher quality lifestyle. “We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our product, stealing our companies, and destroying our jobs (Trump),” stated President Trump in the beginning of his address. One way of accomplishing this task is to improve boarder control as he stated: keeping strict guidelines on what is exported and exported to ensure America is prioritized will allow us to prosper as a great nation
America Free Trade with China only got worse since Bill Clinton signed Trade Deal with China in 2000.
With all the research and reviews on Trade Agreements, it has been interesting to read that the U.S. President, Donald Trump continues to baffle the world including the Republican Party, over how he plans to honor his campaign elected political agenda, which vowed to scrap away years of American Trade Policies, with hopes of reestablishing domestic manufacturing jobs. Subsequently, Allegations streamed from the president’s cabinet that provided insights on his the plans not to go forth with renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), yet in March, 2017, the president changes directions to revamp the so called “job-killing disaster” policy for a more favorable US deal instead – this on-again, off-again, flip-flop behavior appears uneventful, to say the least.
The first reason Obama’s executive action is a terrible idea is because the program he created only makes people that have been here for 5+ years legal. To begin with, the program Obama created call the DAPA allows people to live in the US without permission allowing them to work openly.(Supreme Court…) This informs us that they are working without permission which means they are working illegally. This will strain our economy because the people that are actually doing the right thing don’t get anything out of doing the right thing and being legal. In addition, Newsela stated, “The DAPA covers immigrants who have been in the US for more than 5 years.”(Supreme Court…) This explains to us that Obama isn’t doing anything major about the immigration problem, he is just making a minor adjustment. When he needs to make a bigger adjustment to fix the problem. Likewise, it would make life better for only 5 million immigrants.(Supreme Court…) This reveals that if we allow the immigrants that have been here for 5 years stay it
Then after i saw a video of him i was thinking he’s very good. Then after i saw him in
After the first week of Donald Trump’s presidency many changes have been occurring in the country. A continuous stream of executive orders signed by the President are causing extreme controversy. Executive Order: Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into The United States, the more moderate version of the “Muslim ban” that President Trump called for during his campaign was signed on Friday. Some people who were still in the air when Trump signed the order were detained or sent back to where they flew in from when they landed. This led to people being detained in airports sparking numerous protests at airports across the country, calling the order unconstitutional. On Saturday, a federal judge temporarily stayed the order, stopping people from being detained and deported from the country.

In America, there is a major topic being debated; Donald Trump’s immigration bans. The Justice Department and “attorneys general” are in a heated debate about whether these bans are constitutional or not. The Justice Department’s position is that as President, he has both constitutional and legal authority to pull off these actions. According to the act President Harry S. Truman passed in the second article, “... the president [has] the power to suspend or impose restrictions on the entry of foreign nationals if he determines their entry ‘would be detrimental to the interests of the United States.’” (usatoday.com). By passing this act, the President has the power to issue orders as long as it is for the better of the people.
My policy problem is that Congress now wants to reverse President Obama’s executive order and this reversal will be a huge step back in the process of the immigration reform that is needed. This reversal of action can be detrimental to many immigrant families by separating families with deportation and delaying families from being reunited after only parts of families were able to come to the United States. The government has been deporting illegal immigrants and the path to citizenship is difficult for illegal immigrants because of the complications and financial burden of the whole process.
First, he wants to “appoint the toughest and smallest trade negotiators to fight on behalf of American workers.(Fernandez 1). Mr. Trump wants to understand and see where the American workers’ jobs are going. Furthermore, he wants to note why millions of Americans don’t have jobs and who are taking them away. To do that he has to first renegotiate NAFTA or get rid of it (Fernandez 2).What is NAFTA and what mess it is creating? Basically, a trade agreement between the USA, Mexico and Canada formed by Bill Clinton, and it has let many Americans without jobs because most of them have gone to Mexico. That is the main reason Donald J. Trump hates this agreement and how it has destroyed the United States economy to bits and pieces. Additionally, what makes Trump fierce is that China has been stealing American trade secrets for many years. He clearly stated, “If China does not stop its illegal activities, including its theft of American trade secrets, I will use every lawful presidential power to remedy trade disputes, including the application of tariffs consistent with Section 201 and 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 and Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962” (Fernandez 3). Clearly, this shows that Trump is serious about his job and doesn’t care if he is dealing with China. China has been stealing all our trade secrets and Barack Obama didn’t do anything about it. In brief, this clearly shows that our future President has the characteristics and personality of a true leader that is ready for this great battle.
Ernest Hemmingway was one of the most influential authors of the early twentieth century. He wrote many of his infamous novels and stories from the 1920s to the 1950s. Hemmingway was known for his way to write simple and terse, yet he was able to hold an unseen power behind his words. He lived a life filled with adventures and exploration, but died feeling alone. His experiences in life very much influenced his writing, and in many ways, his own personal stories can be seen in his works.
Sanctions intended to change the behavior or government of a target country are very difficult to design. They have to be imposed as quickly and easily as possible.(Library of Economics) By moving too slowly, it gives the target country time to adjust by finding alternative markets, finding new allies, and by gaining domestic support of its own policies.
