What might a Trump presidency look like? With the general elections coming up in November, it is still unsure which candidate will accept their seat in presidency due to the uprising amount of Trump supporters. In the light of his publicity, the chances for Trump’s victory in the Republican presidential nomination has grown significantly since his winnings in early-voting states. Also, Trump’s lead in polls and his ability to put himself in the spotlight has contributed to the large turnout of supporters simply because of that fact that he is not afraid to speak his mind and his outrageous claims to make America “great again.” As Trump gains publicity, people must try to understand and educate themselves of the controversial plans that he intends to carry out throughout his …show more content…
The editor stresses the importance of “Super Tuesday” in respect towards the presidential candidates in both parties because the results of this primary election will definitely impact our future to come. It will determine whether or not Donald Trump will proceed and represent as a Republican presidential nominee. According to the editorial, “What a Donald Trump presidency might actually look like” by the Los Angeles Times, when past White House Chief of Staff, John H. Sununu, under President George H.W. Bush, was asked about the two words “PRESIDENT TRUMP”, his response seemed to tastefully represent the large majority of opinions and perspectives of Democrats. Stated by John Sununu, "I don't even want to get into that. ... God..I don't even want to be in a story that has that assumption in it." Considering John Sununu’s past experience as White House Chief of Staff, the editorial explains his opinion of Donald Trump in a tone that is apparently against the Trump
in my city Baton Rouge, Louisiana for July 12 has taken a hit. Because, of
Republican I Donald J. Trump has been continuously unsuccessful in taking the lead against his presidential rival Hilary, however this contradictory presidential candidate may still be able to win the presidency. His rival Hillary has kept a consistence lead over Trump to the point where many people would say the she has won. Nonetheless, the less that may not be the case, there are many presidential elections where the losing candidate losing candidate has made a comeback. For example, Hubert Humphrey in the 1968 presidential election and the Gerald Ford in the 1976 presidential election. Both candidates trailed by double digits in the August and September polls but then made a comeback. Although they had lost both but only by a small margin
It is hard to believe that an individual like Donald Trump would now be the president of the United States of America. Many individuals believed that Trump would have never run until he did. Then, others said he would never win the primaries until he did. Finally, everyone assumed that there were little to zero possibilities that Trump would actually become one of the United States presidents until he did and is our president today, and is currently inside the White House running the country. For most of the society, it was a huge shock, there was a fear of deportation in many of the immigrant families going around. However, for others, they were satisfied with the
After following this year's election, I have acquired a vast amount of knowledge on Donald Trump and his political beliefs. He is an intelligent man. There is no doubt about that. He has many successful businesses, and he managed to somehow convince the majority of the United States to vote him as our next president. However, Donald Trump is a well known sexist and is quite bigoted in his beliefs. The only social class that he cares about is the wealthy upper class, seeing as he is a part of said class. Every choice he makes during his presidency effects this generation and the generations to come. As a fifteen year old who will be affected by all the choices he makes during his presidency, I have many concerns for America when Trump takes office.
The issue that has developed more openly in the media is whether or not President Elect Trump should or shouldn’t sever his business ties. Those that are for him severing his ties say that these businesses could prove as a distraction to his presidency. If nothing else they could influence his actions as president to improve his own wellbeing while keeping the interest of the nation out of the picture. The other side of the argument believe that it doesn’t matter if he keeps them or not as no other president was being pushed so hard to remove their assets out of their own control. Even though he has chosen to do so it still will take time for this transition to take place and really doesn’t matter as he could be halfway through his presidency
Donald Trump does not have to honor the "loyalty pledge", because the establishment is not honoring their end of the pledge of treating him fairly, therefore the pledge is not valid.
Many people have their different opinions on Donald Trump. Many of them hate him and wonder how he won the election. Rumors have been spread ever since the election about how he may have cheated to win. Clinton would have been the first female president and many hate Trump because he was elected instead of a female.
President of the United States, the single individual who leads the Nation, has major responsibilities and must fit the position. The United States has been based on choosing the best candidate to lead America for years. The overwhelmingly long process of choosing the next President falls into the hands of the people of the United States, which is why citizens need to have a full understanding of their options as they make their way to vote. One of the few candidates, Donald Trump, seems to always find a way to make headlines, either for better or for worse. America is ready for someone different to step in office, someone that is not a politician and not afraid to say what is needed or speak their mind. Donald Trump is one of the few
In a lengthy speech billed as an economic speech, presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton launched a part two blistering assault on her Republican rival Donald Trump, this time on his economic plans.
Picture this a world of total chaos because we as a nation choose the wrong candidate for president.
Donald Trump is the candidate I decided to write about because of many reasons. First, Trump, being the successful businessman that he is, can help the United States financially. Second, Trump is also pro-women and will better the country in terms of gender gaps. Third, Trump has clear ideas of what he would like to change about the country to progress, and speaks his mind no matter how bad it may make him look. Lastly, after many years of the democratic party taking over the executive branch, it might lead to progression if Republicans take office.
I understand that the majority of the people of the United States are going to vote for Donald Trump. I respect you but your decision is not the best. You don’t see that he is bad for America. He says he’s going to do all of these wonderful things to “ make America great again”(The First Presidential) but in reality he is just going to make them worse and spend more money. Everyone has there own opinion as do I. In the beginning of Trump running for president he offered his wealth and television celebrity as credentials. Then Trump slyly put a twist on his words. For myself I consider it as nothing less than a question of dishonesty or truthfulness. Should I hold back my opinions in a such time, through fear of making the economy worse than it already is, and an act of disloyalty to our country?
Americans take their right from the first amendment very seriously; freedom of speech. Politics is one of the most controversial topics especially in the United States. With the two candidates running this year -Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump--it is no surprise it brings up such a dispute. In 2012, almost 130 million Americans casted a vote for the presidential election. With all the argument between voters and nonvoters, it brings a lot more pressure onto Trump and Clinton to try to gain supports and make themselves look better than the other. By doing this, they create ads to reach those they have not yet convinced to be on their team. As we all know, Donald Trump loves to give people a hard time and bring down whoever is not like him. But Hillary Clinton gave him a taste of his own medicine in her advertisement, Role Models. In the 2016 political ad “Role Models” by Hillary Clinton, she is successful in criticizing Donald Trump to favor herself by the use of lighting, facial expressions, and direct quotes..
When Donald Trump announced that he intended to run for president, no one took him seriously; however, President Trump became the center of attention after a few short weeks. While there are many people who believe Donald Trump will better our nation, there are just as many who think he will destroy it because Hillary Clinton has more political experience. However, experience is not always good experience. In March of 2015, the media came across an email scandal. While Hillary Clinton served under President Obama as Secretary of State, she used her family’s private email server for official communications that violated major rules, and at the same time allowed the Benghazi crisis to occur right under her nose. President Trump is also bashed by individuals who believe he will corrupt our government because he is not a good politician, but due to his
This is a serious article. Although it will probably be a day late and a dollar short when it’s finally published, a few days after the Wisconsin primary. Moreover, what I write does not matter, at least for the powers that be, or whoever supports them.
