Throughout the history of the United States of America, many ambitious men have taken the seat of the presidency. Some of them truly cared about this nation and some only wanted the power of the position. Many were loved and many others were hated for their lack of commitment towards the position. But from them all, our 35th president Former President John F. Kennedy was my favorite president for a number of reasons. First is his vision, He was elected at the time when people thought of as the down of the golden age. Yet he had a better picture for this country, he had a vision of a brighter future and a more equal and rightful present. He actually used the power that the presidency seat gave him and used it for the greater good of the country. Secondly is that he made such impeccable changes that we can still see the result of today. One of my favorite quotes of him is "Ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for you

But if you're 68 years old that might not be just that easy so he promised that woman over 62 and men over 65 that have been contributing to the social security should receive some kind of assistance whether it is with the hospitalizations or with their medicine bills. "Those who are contributing to social security would be receiving some assistance when paying general medical bills." (John F. Kennedy). Since then Medicare developed and became much more complicated than that. There’s now a lot more benefits you can get even if you are under 65 years of age. For example Medicaid if you fall below a certain amount of income you could be eligible for
John F. Kennedy’s presidency is questionable for some, but I believe that his reign was a success. The man had visions that shaped the world today, from the space race to civil rights movements, JFK has paved the way for the success of America. He inspired and lead the country to the best of his ability, which was very well. Before his assassination took place Kennedy improved the world, and still leaves his mark on history through his actions.
John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, served as an important figure to the United States of America during 1961-1963. Although assassinated on November 22, 1963, Kennedy’s leadership of the U.S. instilled confidence in the American people. John F. Kennedy was a great president because of his domestic policy, foreign policy, and lifestyle.
To some, including myself, baseball is the greatest sport that has ever been played. It is a game played by two opposing teams made of multiple players, but only nine players per team play at the same time. To be part of one of the thirty teams that get to play professional baseball, a player has to play the game extremely well (www.baseballhalloffame.com). When a player plays the game better than most have played he gets rewarded, usually with lots of money in a big contract. Then there are those rare players, the 244 elite players of the game that have already been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Being inducted in the Hall of Fame is the utmost of baseball fame. The players listed are remembered forever.
John F Kennedy was the one of the most memorable presidents to have been a leader of our country. He wrote his inaugural address not only to make a statement to the American people, but to the world, a world in a barrage of chaos, war and hardships. An a American nation ready for a change.
“No one needs to think that the world can be ruled without blood. The civil sword shall and must be red and bloody.”(A. Jackson Quotes,). Andrew Jackson should not be placed in the Presidents Hall of Fame for reasons such as spoil system, the indian removal act, and the second bank. He was the seventh president and had other names such as Old Hickory or King Andrew. He saw himself as the common man’s president, the public saw him as an indian killer.
In 1961 the US life expectancy had risen substantially, and as a result the problem of paying for the health care of the senior citizens of America arose (Doc A). LBJ responded with the Social Security Act of 1965 that established Medicare providing financial assistance for medical costs to the elderly by the federal government. This act also provided Medicaid to pay for the health care of welfare recipients. This was hugely successful, allowing about 8 million Americans access to health care that didn't previously have this
“ Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. “ These are the famous words said by JFK in his inaugural address. These words have power, they give you a feeling of humbleness. This is pathos, It gives you almost a saddening feeling. It makes you feel like you expect a lot, but also makes you want to give.
President Johnson recognized America’s need of support from the government. As it is said in Doc. A “the nations aged now face another aspect of insecurity.”, which is the high costs of healthcare. Abraham Ribicoff, secretary of health, education, and welfare, testified before the House of Representatives in 1961 “with life spans lengthened, with medical science breaking into undreamed realms of discovery”, this statements makes one wonder if the government will aid the older generation as society progresses? Though Johnson was not in office during this time, his later creation of medicare, which survives to this day, provides the elderly with necessary funds to cover costly pharmaceuticals. Not only does medicare aid the elderly but is a form of federal welfare assistance. As stated before, Johnson recognized the
Healthcare for the elderly was a great program and the fact that the elderly were subsidized with old aged insurance helped aid them in their everyday lives. The help the blind, crippled, terminally and mentally ill, and other needy Americans received was seriously needed. The Welfare System that was started by Kennedy created a downhill spiral resulting in today’s welfare society. During a speech made to Congress on February 1, 1962 on Public Welfare Programs Kennedy concluded with, “To strengthen our human resources--to demonstrate the compassion of free men-and in the light of our own constructive self-interest--we must bring our welfare programs up to date.
John F Kennedy was a man that led this country and government with integrity he was a man that was for the people and he thought of the people in a very
“And so my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you- ask what you can do for your Country’’- John F Kennedy
I think the best president the united sates had was John F Kennedy. I believe this because lots of great things happened during his presidency. Such as "The Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, the establishment of the Peace Corps, developments in the Space Race..." Those are just a few reasons on why i think he is the best president the united states have had. He also served in the military as a commander during world war 2.
The busts of hundreds of players, managers, coaches, umpires, and baseball pioneers occupy the hallowed halls of a quiet building located in Cooperstown, New York. Thousands of fans travel to this building, otherwise noted as the National Baseball Hall of Fame, each year to get a glimpse of baseball’s immortalized heroes. Hundreds of sportswriters across the nation weed out numerous hall of fame hopefuls once a year and cast their votes on who will be enshrined in Cooperstown and who will merely be a statistic of the Great American Pastime. These sports writers examine a player or coach’s career with extreme meticulousness. Not one player in the Baseball Hall of Fame is undeserving, however, over the next few years we will learn that there
We have had many presidents in our country’s history. The presidents themselves don’t last forever, but their impacts, legacies and memories do.They contributed to generations and future generations. But nobody is perfect and you can’t please everyone so of course in the eyes of some people there were presidents they believed to be better than others. Not everyone’s favorites will be the same. I myself believe that George Washington, Lyndon B Johnson, and Abraham Lincoln were some of the best presidents, but however with all good sides there are bad sides like presidency's I believed that the worst presidents were people like William Henry Harrison, John F. Kennedy, and John Tyler. However like I said before, everyone will have different rankings of the president's let's see if you agree and here are my reasonings.
“...ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” This
