Therefore, pride is an unatractive quality because it can cause people to only be focused on themselves, destroy relationships, and harm others. “There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. ‘Good pride’ represents our dignity and self-respect. ‘Bad pride’ is the deadly sin of our superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance.” The author of this quote, John C. I am more likely to be moved to action by pride. If the reason is pride I would be more motivated than by fear. If I am motivated by fear I feel as if I would not try as hard to complete the task that I would be trying to complete. If I was motivated by pride I would be more prepared for the task.
The students at Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, also known as SCCA, are bright young students with potential to make their future an outstanding work of art. They are students who are serious about their education and will do anything to get to the highest pinnacle in life. But besides being determined and solemn scholars, they are still only teenagers in high school who just want to have fun. The culture at SCCA lacks fun, excitement, and freedom, and the main reason for that is because of the Burton School District that runs the facility. There needs to be some changes in the Burton School District and in the culture of SCCA.

Where’s the Penn State Pride?By Sahib KaurDear Executive Board of Penn State,I once was a prospective student who was considering applying for Penn State, among various other universities. When doing my college research, the first thing that I did was look up the college websites. And as most other students would believe, the website is the main source for discerning the institution’s credibility and status. Unfortunately, I have to say, that Penn State’s website does not do the college justice. With no visual ascetics, no organized structure, and no evidence of pride, the Penn State website is at best, mediocre. When opening up to the page, the reader is fiercely exposed to a vast expanse of a bright blue hue. While I understand that blue
Cheerleading is a time to represent your school spirit and pride. Ever since grade school I was a cheerleader. I continued to cheer in middle school and up to junior year in High School, for a total of six years. I started off with pop warner cheer then junior varsity cheer and ended with varsity cheer in high school. When you cheer you get to get the crowd involved in the game, you make new friends and you also get to compete in competitive cheer at competitions. Cheerleading was a great part of my life and it is an experience I will always treasure. It has taught me that practice builds stamina, competition proves your teams point and it builds the understanding of why teamwork is important.

School spirit needs to be a priority in schools because the effects are positive.
