The twenty first century is the period of the Internet. More than eighty percent of Americans have access to the Internet. People use it for multi purposes from working online to entertaining, and communicating with friends and families. Even though the Internet has been developing rapidly recently, and all Americans have the right to a public education and to be taught to read and write, not all American should have access to the internet, and those who have access to the Internet should be taught skill to use information online.
Certain groups of Americans should not have access to the Internet. Prisoners, for example, should not have access to the Internet. Those are people who are separated from the society for their wrongdoings. If they have access to the Internet, it will be a great tool for them to promote their criminal activities. Moreover, the Internet can be a great tool for those prisoners to run their gangs from inside the prisons. Also, young children should not have access to the Internet. Children are vulnerable with the information from the Internet. They do not know what kind of information is right for them. They may get access to inappropriate source of information that they are not supposed to. Moreover, children may get addicted to the Internet. They would spend too much time surfing websites which cut back their time for outside activities.
