Women should not be able to make decisions about how to live their lives. Clearly, by the looks of the statistics, with approximately 42 million abortions a year, women are foolish. Women should not have the option of deciding when or whether to have children. They do this by making choices regarding when to have sexual intercourse and what contraceptive methods to use. The government should have all the power to make these decisions. Abortion reflects a women's value, her family, and her career.

Abortion is a very serious situation in the world. It is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy. There are many reasons why women abort their babies but none of these reasons are valid. Therefore, mothers should think of other ways instead of termination. These innocent babies are victims in the womb. The topic of aborting an innocent fetus has been overwhelmingly controversial in the United States. The two sides to this ongoing debate is pro-life advocates and pro-choice advocates. Women can do whatever they want to do because it’s their body. The woman is the one who goes through the abortion procedure. I am pro-life. All the procedures doctors use to perform abortions seem harmful and uncomfortable to both the mother and baby. One method used is Dilation and Evacuation. Basically the mother is given drugs to force a speedy dilation of her uterus, then the doctor takes forceps and inserts them into the woman's womb and begins dismembering the baby by breaking the baby's bones, skull, and spine and then removes the now dead baby (Lloyd 1). This is an issue I am passionate about because the only person that should decide on the rights of a woman’s body is the woman herself. It should be her own choice because ultimately, a woman is the only one who knows what is best for her at that moment in time. She may not be financially stable enough to have a child. Having a child changes a woman in many ways may it be physically, mentally, or emotionally.
