When people see the word addiction they immediately think of the usage of illegal substances. There’s more to think of than just one type of definition for this word, addiction can be viewed as a brain disease or a need for a particular substance. The definition of addiction is most commonly known as a condition that results when a person ingest a substance.
Most people confuse the definiton of addiction with an activity or hobby because of how constantly a activity is repeated. In other words people recognizes the activity not the right definition of the word, addiction. It shouldn't be recognized like this because it's a behavioral problem. “Addiction is a brain disease expressed in the form of compulsive behavior” (Addiction is a brain disease). For teens addiction may be recognized as social media addiction because of how alarming this activity can harm people.
