My demonstrated professional commitment to my work can be seen in the role of Property Manager. With a large portfolio of 130 properties the workload was very heavy and in order to manage it I needed to be organised. I did this by analysing my workload each day, prioritising tasks by their deadlines and/or importance, then ordering them from most urgent to least. In addition, I would accommodate some spare time for anomalies that would arise. This system ensured that the day ran smoothly and deadlines were met.
My ability to work in a team environment and contribute effectively to team outcomes is well demonstrated

This is a skill that I have demonstrated throughout my employment I am pleased to show an indepth action in. In the property management industry I would often receive phone calls from customers wishing to end their tenancy. It was my role as certified property manager to clearly and accurately communicate to the customer what their rights and responsibiliees were in effect to the qld legislation. The complications of not portraying this information acurately could potentially result in legal complications. To ensure that I portrayed this information accurately I would discuss this information directly with the tenant via a phone call then follow this through in writing via email. Closer to the time of vacate I wold then give a coursey call and follow up with the customer and see if they needed any help with anything. Concise commincation with the customer ensured that they felt valued and not
I became a mother at a very young age, seventeen years old. When I was in labor at the hospital, I experienced the nursing care of two very distinct nurses. I quickly became aware of the demeanor of the night nurse. She was unkind, pushy, and insensitive. She also did not explain things and did not smile much. On the other hand, the day nurse was merrier, compassionate, caring, informative, and reassuring. Despite my juvenile state, my comprehension was very astute. I comprehended that there are two types of nurses. One who solely works to attain a paycheck and the nurse who chose the nursing profession because they value humanity. Simultaneously, I was becoming a mother and discovering what my profession would be thanks to the caring day nurse who was a role model.
My inspiration to pursue a lifelong career in nursing derived from witnessing a close individual succumb to a painful and chronic disease when I was the tender age of 6. I pondered and researched endlessly on the symptoms and damage caused by that disease until I comprehended its origin and everlasting effects. The memory of witnessing that individual die will continue to plague my memories and serve as a reminder of why I continue to strive for my goals today. From that point on, I knew exactly the person I aspired to be in the future—a nurse. I was fascinated with acquiring knowledge about the human body and diseases. In high school, I applied to a local hospital to become a candystriper to gain more insight about the medical field and nursing. I was placed into the endoscopy department and it was there where I truly established my determination to take on the challenge of becoming a nurse. I witnessed and experienced a myriad of things during my time there. I grasped how to become more compassionate and to prioritize one’s life and safety above everything. The hospital became my personified version of Utopia.
I am a committed hard worker and I will do everything in my power to ensure that I deliver effective results and better myself in the process. Including, finding resolutions to the problems that encounter in the workplace and encouraging my co-workers promoting team efforts to achieve our departments and organizational goals’.
In the corner of the small hospital room stood a shy little girl. “You shouldn't be in here, honey”, my mother said as she nudged me out of the room where my grandfather lay dying. At the time, I couldn't understand the enormity of the situation. Ignorant to what was happening around me, my innocent mind fled with curiosity. The beeping of the machines and the soft quick steps of nurses captivated my attention. I was fascinated with this strange new world. This is the moment that sparked my desire to become someone great; a nurse.
I have reinforced this standard of working relationship many times in my career and I am confident that my values, personal drive, and skills prepare me well for the work I have undertaken. Importantly I possess the ability to build strong business partnerships and working relationships, which is the key to ensuring the right outcomes. This is shown by my relationships that I have maintained with Guidance Officers, Teachers and Head of Departments. I have worked in teams who had been confronted with periods of organizational change and am proud of the outcomes achieved. I have demonstrated my ability to work as an effective team member by completing the tasks required of me within the policies and procedures provided. I have the natural ability to draw alongside others in my team, accept, embrace colleagues regardless of background, ability level, or position of chain of command, and as such have made many beneficial relationships within my current
I was intrigued by the profession of a Nurse at a young age. However, what truly sparked my interest in this thriving career was when a close friend of mine was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Ever since she was diagnosed I wanted to help to create an encouraging, loving and supporting environment around in her time of need and sorrow. Since then I have always been fascinated and interested by the scientific and academic side of nursing along with the caregiving duties of the profession. Because of this, it has lead me to study Level 3 Health and Social Care programme. I am particularly enjoying my Level 3 Health and Social Care programme as it allowed me to carry out the theoretical side of my course in a real life environment as I have a work placement with a care agency. Now I am striving to further my knowledge and proficiencies through taking a university level course in Nursing.

The theory is explained on the idea that the increased comfort of a patient or their family, the more they are ready to accept and react to the treatment plan. The theory can also be applied to the nursing profession in the sense that
My goal is to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Trinity Washington University. After working in government and as a massage therapist, I realized that I have a calling in health care. In order to become a great nurse that provides optimal care, I need to be educated by the best institution. As nurses we all bring our own values and beliefs to the job whether or not we intend to, it happens. I place large amounts of value on family and friends. These are the people you can call on for support. I know that without the support of my mom helping me with my kids and my house work there is no way I could be in the nursing program. Family is often a place when as children we learn and develop our values and beliefs. Giving this deeper thought I can see how this is true for myself. When working with B I would often think about what it would be like to be raised in an unstable environment by a mother who struggles with mental health and addictions. B was often placed in respite foster homes. I found myself thinking about what it would be like to sit down to meal with a strange family how awkward would he have felt. Building on this making connections with people is very important to me. Once I was able to build a connection with B I was able to work with him in a more cohesive way. Making that convection helps to build trust, positive relationships are built on trust. Being a good listener is a skill that I value as a nurse. Not only do I value being a good listener but I also value being heard. I value you a person 's ability to do what they say they are going to do. If you tell a patient that you will return to check in with them in 30 minutes than you need to be sure that you keep your word. When working with clients it is import to me to build on
Why do you want to pursue a graduate degree in your chosen field of study and why do you want to pursue a graduate degree at Clemson University?
Nurses are the epitome of Cura Personalis. There are an abundance of careers to positively influence the lives of others, but few career paths endeavor to truly serve all people. Nurses respond to health care needs of people considering spiritual, health, socio-cultural, economic status and the evolving practice of nursing to provide and advocate for these individuals. Nurses have an innate ability to learn about the individuals they serve and they care for people rather than “clients,” “patients,” or “customers.” My motivation to pursue a career in the discipline of nursing is because I envision myself helping people through their most vulnerable moments.
Having grown up in Michigan, I have become passionate about serving this community. Many of my experiences, including shadowing, research, and my internship at the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP), have educated me about the unique healthcare issues and opportunities in Michigan. Through shadowing, I have been exposed to the multiple community settings a physician can practice in, such as rural or inner-city communities. These settings all have their unique advantages and challenges and being exposed to them during my undergraduate career has given me a holistic view of health care needs in Michigan. As an intern at MAFP, I have developed my intra-professional skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with others. Lastly,
For instance, as a three-season athlete, I understand the importance of commitment to a project for maximum results. Also, my experience working in athletic teams has made me flourish in leadership and group work. Likewise, as a student Desk Attendant at the Dickinson Waidner-Spahr Library, I received a promotion to a position as Student Supervisor due to my attentiveness while on the job.
My successful achievement in life has been realized through dedication and commitment to do what I love. I would not be in the position of applying to graduate school today, without some of the challenges I have overcome in life. As a young man, I left my family in Nigeria and moved to the United States. With the responsibilities of financially supporting family back in Africa, working full time, starting a family of my own, and being a student, it did not take me long to learn how to balance priorities. I was successful because I was focused, disciplined, and persevered in the middle of life’s many distractions.
