Three ways I can display professionalism in an interview first speak well and try to avoid slang and informal grammar. Second, ask for dress code before you go to an interview. Therefore, you do not over or underdress for the interview. Lastly, be respectful and well –manner to everyone that I meet to show that I am extending professional courtesy.
In selecting channels and mediums in business communication. I first think of the feedback and purpose of the message I want to convey. Then, weather this is a routine message or a special needs message. I believe that most important indicators of professionalism that I possess are respect, accountability and tenacity. I show respect by listening, being fair, and following through. Being accountable not only means being responsible for something but also ultimately being answerable for your actions. Being engaged as a teacher is important to professionalism because
When being a professional you must conduct yourself in a professional manner. You must learn how to treat others with respect and be loyal to yourself and your team. Professionalism, more
Xcom285 has taught me many valuable assets that I can use in my future, but I believe that the most valuable thing that I have learned is that communications is not just talking. Communications is about listening and writing as well. It is important in business communications to understand that to effectively communicate one need’s to tune into everything that is going on around him or her. This means that he or she needs to understand the audience, the purpose of, and the most effective way to deliver or receive the message. Tracey T. Yearwood is the professional I had the pleasure of interviewing for this assignment. Mrs. Yearwood has been married 21 years to an Active Duty Army soldier who is now retired, and they have one 15 year old daughter. Mrs. Yearwood’s educational background consist of a Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology, a Master’s in Education specializing in Child Development, and she also has over 15 years of experience working with children of all ages. Since Mrs. Yearwood’s husband was in the military they relocated almost every three years, so consequently her occupations have varied from working in elementary schools, middle schools, and multiple child development centers over the years.

Professionalism in the workplace, is the absolute key to having a successful, and smoothly run business. Professionalism is something that must be maintained by every individual within the work setting, especially in health care, whether it is the janitor, activity director, nursing assistant, doctor, or even the head administrator. Professionalism encompasses many aspects, such as teamwork, attitude, environment, knowledge, morals, and ethics.
Great professionalisim can be idenified within people by their principled actions of honest positve decision making in the ameliorating of themselves and others around them to establish an organizational enviroment of success. The imperative role of healthcare reimburscement, requires professionals to precisely code the proper billable medical services, which were preformed during a visit to see a health provider for treatment. It is critical that all interviews are documented in order to ensure that the hiring practices are legitimate, and if the documentation is not performed accurately, could be used as evidence in disparate treatment cases. Working in healthcare, we have been taught that no documentation of the treatment means the treatment did not occur. The same correlation can be applied to the interviewing process. If little, to no documentation is available after conducting interviews, you have no foundation on why you did or did not hire someone for the job. Since most employers know not to put in writing discriminatory statements, plaintiffs typically do not have any direct evidence when pursuing litigation, and will tend to use circumstantial evidence (Walsh, 2013).
The data that should be in an assessment should include the client’s name marriage status, religious preference, any metal illness reports. As well as, any social history that can be provided by the client’s school, previous social groups or treatment groups with written permission from the client (Dillon, 2010, pp. 208-210).Furthermore, I would like to see the family background information also as this could be very useful into why the client has issues that may be extended from the family history.
What are the strengths and challenges of meeting with clients in the home versus the office? In which setting do you think the client might be more comfortable? In which setting might you, as the professional, be more comfortable?
Conducting interviews is fundamental as a case manager. In order to understand more about good interviewing, I decided to watch an interview about an addict mother conducted by Dr. Phil.
