Many homeowners have the skills, tools, and experience to undertake certain home improvement projects. However, some projects are best left to the professionals. Let's figure out if your next project should be on your DIY list or if you should call in a professional to handle it.
For my course project I have selected scenario two. This scenario is about an employee named Maria, a person of Latino ancestry. She is a second generation, native-born American citizen with a graduate degree and ten years of experience with her current employer. Maria has filed a complaint against her company because she believes she was unfairly eliminated as a candidate for a promotion because of her distinctive accent. Maria states that her supervisor informed her that she was not being promoted because he feared that their clients would have trouble understanding her accent. She claims that she is highly qualified for the promotion because of the years she has worked for the company and her educational background. However, the promotion was given to Alex, an Angelo, who has had less time with the company but has better job evaluations.
When beginning treatment for someone dealing with alcohol abuse or dependence, there is a specific process that must be undergone. The components of the evaluation process are as follows: (1) screening, (2) diagnosis, (3) assessment, (4) motivation, (5) treatment, and (6) follow-up. All of these are essential to proper treatment for clients dealing with alcohol problems. For the sake of this paper, focus will be directed purposefully towards the process of assessment. When any indication of alcohol concerns, whether by referral or by the screening process of evaluation, it’s necessary to begin exploring the case in greater depth. To begin addressing the complexity of the situation, you must first begin with the process of assessment. The
I enjoyed reading your post. As we have learned during this discussion board through our classmates, there are a plethora of different ways that can be used to evaluate programs. You gave numerous examples as to why program evaluations are important in early childhood education and why they are conducted in the first place. Another reason that program evaluations are conducted are to see if the program is working (Gilliam & Leiter, 2003). For instance, the Head Start Program at my school constantly makes changes to their program due to their yearly evaluation. If they see that something is not working, the head of the program tries to come up with different ways to change what is not working to try and make the program better for the students.
The Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) project, undertaken by Electronic Data Communications (EDC) is the biggest government undertaking of its kind. It aims to provide a single seamless network which would provide a centralized communication to the Navy and Marine. It also aims to integrate the legacy systems with the new secured environment. The NMCI project aimed to connect about 400,000 desktops into a common network, which would provide a unified communication to all Navy and Marine bases (Calbreath, 2004).
My practicum project is to develop a strategic plan for the four-year program that began in April 2016 at my practicum site. The organizations can have a chance to recognize themselves through strategic planning because it would show the goals, missions, interests, strengths, and limitations of the organizations. I will collect the information about the kindergarten I’m working for such as the history, cost, and problem as well as the four-year program such as their curriculum so that I can use the information to analyze. Understanding the current situation is the first step of the strategic planning. Therefore, I will monitor the progress of the program through the semester. If the kindergarten
Evaluation is the systematic application of social science research procedures to judge and improve the way information resources are designed and implemented (Friedman & Wyatt, 2010). I believe that too truly have a successful implementation of a system such as an EHR, there must be adequate training and buy-in must be received from the end users (nurses). I want to evaluate if the nurses believe that EHR is decreasing the incidence of medication errors compared to paper documentation.
Most teachers would give their students a written test or an essay to write but project based tests are more beneficial than other teachers would think. Tests or projects that include building or drawing put students to the test and see what they can come up with. The student uses his or her critical thinking skills to create something beautiful. With written tests kids only use the knowledge; they acquire in class. If the student does not pay attention, they have to use their critical thinking or guessing skills to complete their task. Bringing books and audio hearings to life is a creative concept and has a ton of outcomes for different students. A recent project has to do with the major setting of the book called, The True
My final art project is extremely easy to understand. First, I started choosing multiple ways of art projects that I will be presenting on the final day. One of my option is to bring some multiple ceramics figurine I made when I was in ceramic class back in high school. Finally, I encounter making an art using color pencils with random geometric shapes. I named my project Geo, Geo short for geometric shapes. My art has zero negative space also knows as empty white space. The reason of this was to provide a clean finish. Honestly it took me longer than I expected to finish my art final project. The reason is I have multiple things on my plate and I have to balance everything.
This essay critically evaluates a Design and Technology (DT) lesson taught in a year one classroom at a 3 form entry Infant School in a large village in West Sussex. I have chosen this subject as I feel DT has a crucial role to play within the primary classroom and I am passionate about the impact it can have on children’s learning when it is taught effectively. Specialising in art at university has helped strengthen my belief in the importance of teaching creatively and how teaching a broad and balanced range of subjects can allow children to access different strengths that they may never have known existed. Throughout both placement experiences I have observed a very limited amount of DT teaching within the classroom, often seemingly
My product is a response to my goal by visually showing the progress I have made during summer as a video of me being able to do a complicated henna design. My henna personal project fulfilled the criterion of a visual demonstration of the progress I have made with practiced henna designs plus the research about henna’s creation, symbolism, and history. I took a picture for all my practice designs during summer vacation and as a final result of the practices made a video of my final design which is a lot more intricate than the other henna designs I have done before. For the research section I took about two months for research in each topic and then transferred the information onto a trifold poster board and included pictures of the practice designs I have done over the summer.
I have received the three project proposals for review along with the information relative to what the company is seeking to gain as a result of project implementation. Taking those factors into account, my team is prepared to present a project recommendation. Moving forward it would make the most sense to move forward with two of the three proposed projects, Project Juniper and Project Stargazer. While these projects are drastically different, implementing together will serve as the best potential course of action for the company precisely because of how divergent they are.
Project appraisal techniques are used to evaluate possible investment opportunities and to determine which of these opportunities will generate the best return to the firm’s shareholders. Therefore, it is vital for the firm if they wish to continue receiving funds from shareholders to employ the best techniques available when analysing which investment opportunities will give the best return. There are two types of project appraisal techniques: non-discounted cash flows and discounted cash flows. The Net Present Value and internal rate of return, examples of discounted cash flows, are in use in many large corporations and regarded as more effective than the traditional techniques of payback and accounting rate of return. In this paper, I
