Operation Smile in Kenya is a non-profit organisation that moves from site to site performing corrective surgery on children, adults and even the elderly. The main cases are usually in the form of correcting cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. Using the fundamentals of project management, the paper seeks to come up with a project charter for the mission including but not limited to the purpose of the project, the beneficial changes, the key objectives and the methodology used to achieve these.

Furthermore, the paper will show the various stakeholders taken into play, the scope of the work to be done, the product breakdown structure (PBS) and the work breakdown structure (WBS) and the list of activities to be used to complete the mission. Knowledge used was gained from the Fundamentals of Project Management and the report is intended to answer any operational questions of coordinating and managing a mission for Operation Smile in Kenya
