Project Title: Student Record Database Management System to keep track of student’s enrolment process, course, class dates and tuition fees.
Introduction: This project is undertaken as a result of the Management team of Microtech Institute of Multimedia & Technology though it is necessary to develop a system that can keep track of their students enrolment processes, class start dates,

Complete signing off of the proposed project.
Resources Needed for Carrying out the Project:
Microsoft corporation to help me with the documentation of Microsoft Access database application license, features and technical requirement.
Hardware: A personal computer (PC) or a Laptop at least Pentium 3 processor, RAM size of at least 128 MB, Hard drive size of at least 40GB, Internal or external Network Interface Card of 10/100 mbps.
Software: Windows Operating System (Window XP or later), Microsoft Office Access application (ms access 2007 or later), Antivirus software, Microsoft Office picture manager,
Literature sources: Microsoft TechNet website, IMIS website, wikipedia and IT journals and library resources.
Risks:
Type:
Gathering of required information from end users, to know what they want the application to do and functions. I.e. application requirements.
Action to be taken if arise: Failure in gathering sufficient information for the start of the proposed project.
Type:
Emerging of new technologies.
Action to be taken if arise: With new technologies comes up that I need to learn for the successful completion of the proposed project then I might need to have extra lectures after college hours, do research on the internet, self study and professional help if possible. Type: Political risk e.g. changes of top management of the institution.
Action to be taken if arise: The new
Looking at the requirements of Grandfield College, I have planned a solution with following steps are Step 1. Data Gathering: This task consists of the gathering of spreadsheets currently used by the software management team which includes the list of software, licensing of software, and all faculty and staff computers and what software is installed on each. Also included is a list of software requests.
Training Information Management System (TIMS), the project scope is to allow users to track instructors, students, courses and grades. TIMS must be completed in six months and must allow the functions listed above. TIMS must also link with the accounting system for accurate pricing for courses and accounting financial interaction. TIMS should be able to track credits earned toward IT industry certification requirements. The new system may also allow students to register for courses online.
The computer is used for the internet to find out needed information or emails. Work is also completed using Microsoft programs.
During the coursework I have completed various semester project which helped me learning multiple programming languages, networking concepts, trouble shooting skills and communication skills.
Another way of successfully gathering information is by building a prototype or model of the system, so that users can test or get an idea of what the finished product will be like. With this they can determine issues, problems, or inconsistency with the system. Another important part of gathering information is organizing it so that it can be understood and put to proper use. I propose categorizing the requirements into functional requirements, operational requirements, technical requirements, and transitional requirements. The functional requirements define how the user thinks the system is functioning overall, the operational requirements define what background processes need to be executed in order for the system to work optimally over a period of time, the technical requirements define what technical issues that must be addressed in order to successfully implement the system, and the transitional requirements define the processes or steps needed to implement the system smoothly and successfully. ("Mind Tools", 2012).
The time spent on security measures, data backup and reduction of duplication could be saved in this project, if relational database management system would be adopted. The latest technology is used for making the work and environment of Inspiration Space more accessible and faster.
Today, computers are found everywhere and people rely upon them for travel directions, entertainment, purchasing products, and social interactions.

In the past, academic and administrative computer systems were isolated, either for security reasons or as a result of limited interconnectivity with other computers. Today, nearly any information that an administrator, teacher, student or parent might is available through a network connection. Course lectures are presented are viewed and students submit their assignments via the internet school class shell. Student and parents can view their grades online, administrative paperwork and other information can be shared through a variety of systems. The internet is an awesome and convenient way to communicate, but it introduces
In addition to the computers, you also require the software listed in Table 1-2 to complete Lab 1.
Lexington Two is contains 18 schools (two early childhood centers, seven elementary schools, four middle schools, two high schools, one alternative education center, and two residential treatment facilities.) This district serves 8,800 students, grades CD-4 through 12. Lexington Two is comprised of students who are: 33% African-American; 11% Hispanic/Latino; 50% Caucasian; and 6% other ethnic categories. Approximately 59% of our students receive subsidized meals. The projected poverty index for 2013 is 64%. The school district employs 1,043 people. There are 603 certified staff members.
It should be a user friendly as possible so as to eliminate the previous problems
The requirements gathering and analysis phase is the most critical phase for the overall success of the project because this phase helps “identify and capture stakeholder requirements using customer interviews and surveys” (Smith, 2016). In order to successfully capture software requirements from the stakeholder, developers need to conduct conference meetings to understand the capabilities of the software. This conference meeting usually takes place only once, so it is essential that developers collect all the information required for the software during the elicitation requirement meeting. For developers to be successful in collecting all the required information, it is a
