ABSTRACT
The modern era of technology requires every set of information at their handsets. Whether we are walking, eating or sleeping what we require is information. The brand new set of android phones, their latest and best configuration is the need of today. These android phones demand the best of all android applications.
My area of internship was Android Development. The main aim was to learn how to build an android application and I worked on putting in my efforts on an android app – HAL (Home Automated Living). This application deals with the automation of home appliances and devices via an android app.
Home Automated Living is an android application that will enable anyone with the HAL software implemented on their PC to control their home remotely, the app connects with home server and enables the user to control things like the temperature, lights and connected appliances.
The app also explorers the possibility of a user to toggle the security features of the garden and sidewalk motion sensors, proximity
As technology continually advances, smartphones are becoming more like computers. However, we need to keep in mind the primary purpose a phone can provide in
This internship trained me in the use of various software programs. My ability to understand and troubleshoot in various programs would allow me to use quantitative and qualitative standard procedures. In any organization where I had the chance to learn, I demonstrated my aptitudes and abilities, such as focusing on details, analyzing procedures, and adhering to corporate
AAL is defined as an approach where pervasive information technologies support elderly people to live independently, with self-confidence and security, reducing the use of resources. AAL devices and applications can support daily living activities or contribute for the individual participation in society, namely entertainment, social participation or communicate with family, friends, peers and providers. AAL can also provide applications and devices to support safety and health care, including mobile and wearable sensors to monitor physiological parameters, mobile emergency response systems, fall detection systems or video surveillance systems.
CareKit Health Hamilton, Ontario is a private company that supports the complete clinical and family care team to provide a high quality care with reducing cost, and ensuring timely interventions by its highly approachable mobile application that leverages the mobile technology. To complement the healthcare platform, the company has started a project named “CareKit Health Technology Prototype” that demonstrates the development of technology prototype for home care use. CareKit Health’s technology prototype is all about making a system prototype that is one of the ways for conducting Rapid Application Development (RAD). RAD is a collection of methodologies that incorporate special techniques and computer tools to speed up the analysis, design, and implementation phases in order to get some portion of the system development quickly into the hands of users for evaluation and feedback (Dennis, A. et al, 2012)
My main objective for the internship was to learn about technology and increase my knowledge about app. The company is helping me increase my knowledge and create a future career. Moreover, there are many opportunities to keep working in the company when the internship will be finished.
The Gator Tech smart house at the University of Florida is a laboratory-house created to assist older adults in maximizing independence and maintaining higher quality of life. The entire house is equipped with (a) smart cameras for motion detection, image processing, and control of other in-home devices, (b) smart blinds that automatically close to block sunlight when the air conditioner is on, (c) ultrasonic location tracking transceivers that are installed on the ceiling corners of each room to detect movement, location, and orientation of the resident, (d) smart floor that uses pressure sensors embedded into each tile to detect falls and reports to emergency services, and (f) smart displays for entertainment media and information residents
One of the main things I deal in the internship is apps. The app world is growing everyday and there are many opportunities to keep improving. The knowledge that I am getting during the internship is going to be really positive to keep working for PressReader or for other companies in the future. Before the internship, my interest was focus in other
Overall throughout the article “Really Smart Homes” in This Old House magazine, John Patrick Pullen does an outstanding job at having his article organized purposefully so I gave him full credit on the organization aspect of his article. He has pictures arrange in a strategic way to keep the eye interested, has the article sectioned off so readers are able to read the section of want to read about sooner, he keeps all of the paragraphs to the point to help the readers understand and want to read more, and he connects all of the sections main point or parts back to the main thesis of, “There are a lot of choices these days in the way of connected devices designed to save time and money around the house” (Pullen 55).
Google recently bought the Nest company in February of 2015 for $3.2 billion. The company manufactures "smart" smoke detectors and thermostats that learn your habits. Guess who's monitoring the temperature in your bedroom? Unfortunately, you can't "opt out" in a well-wired home, so you have to consider the consequences before you install smart devices that connect to the Internet.
Nowadays, smartphones have been an irreplaceable and indispensable part of people’s daily life. What makes the smartphones so “smart” is the OS, in other words, the operation system. The OS is the basic and soul of a smartphone, which means if the phone is the body, then the OS is the neural network and intellectual system to control the body. Among diverse operation systems, Apple’s IOS and Android OS are the most outstanding, they have occupied about 96 percent of the whole global smartphone market together. They are both widely used and liked by individuals but they also have own advantages and disadvantages.
With every passing day new innovations are being brought into the field if information technology. Things that have been old enough are always upgraded and renewed in order to make their use even more effective in use. The technology of android which has been introduced by the organization of Google has made life for all the smart phone users entertaining and easy at the same time. The applications brought forward by the different application developers are not only entertaining but are proven useful in many other aspects. Everything about a smart phone is enjoyable and entertaining. People have become bad addicts of the applications offered in the Google Play Store. The real life like gaming has provided an extra ordinary experience to all the users of smart phones ad tablet devices. But the only thing about an android device which holds it strengths is its small screen. How about having all the entertainment and fun on the large bigger and wider screens of laptops and personal computers? It is the basic reason of improvising the technique of android into something even more mind blowing then what it already is. Droid4x has made it possible to get all the excitement and fun on your personal computers and desktops. As it is a virtual machine it seems as if a whole android device is incorporated into the system of the personal

This application is a thoroughly independent application for Android contrivances. The application will be a lightweight and minimal application that relies on system and database information to be processed and sent to the application for displaying. The only functional dependencies are on the Google Maps API.
In today’s technologically dependent society, it only makes sense that home designers would also embrace the trend and create methods with which homes can become “smarter” as well. Being smarter of course doesn’t mean our homes become deep thinkers or educated, although with some of the smart products created for home use, it might seem like that is the case. If you relate to at least 50% of the consumers surveyed by an icontrol 2015 survey, you plant to purchase at least one product to make your home smart within the next year. Unfortunately, choosing which product to choose can be a bit difficult. To make it easier on you, we encourage you to utilize the following five smart home products we have selected. Through them, your home will
