Muhammad is widely believed by the Muslims community to be a messenger and prophet of God; most Muslims view him as the last prophet of God as taught by the Quran (Valentine 134). Muslims thus consider him the renovator of an unaffected and unique monotheistic faith of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and other prophets (Peters 9). The prophet as he was called had a social life, as a leader he had both followers and those who opposed him and all them viewed him differently. Muhammad was born in Mecca around the year 570 (Conrad). Orphaned before the age of six, the prophet became orphaned. Under the guard of his uncle Abu Talib, and began working as a merchant and also known for his honesty (Conrad). The story of how the prophet received his divine revelations is a fascinating one. According to Denffer, at the age of forty, Muhammad started to have dreams and hearing voices. In his search to understand, he would sometimes go down in the cave of Hira, near Mecca to pray. On one of these occasions, the Archangel Gabriel (Jibra'il in Arabic) showed himself to him and taught him how to read and the read "in the name of [your] lord" This was the beginning of many revelations that became the foundation of the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam. These initial revelations revealed the subsistence of one God, contrary to the belief hold by many …show more content…

Do you believe that Master Fard Muhammad is Allah in person? While Other religions say that God is not a man, so Master Fard Muhammad cannot be Allah in person, the Nation of Islam believes that Master Fard Muhammad is Allah in person. I do believe that Master Fard Muhammad is Allah in person, and most people doubt it and ask what evidence do we have to prove that, but despite what other people say I do believe that there is reasonable evidence to prove that because He had gained 10,000 followers alone in Black Bottom, Detroit, He took a man named Elijah Poole, who only had a third grade education, and taught him for three years, a knowledge that was so powerful, and He came to North America by himself to raise his father's people.
Elijah Muhammad rose from poverty to become the controversial, charismatic leader of the black separatist group The Nation of Islam. To this day, now under the direction of Minister Louis Farrakhan, the NOI has maintained a consistent record of racism and anti-Semitism under the guise of instilling African-Americans with a sense of empowerment. Charismatic ministers of "the Honorable Elijah Muhammad" campaign black pride, economic self-help, and moral uplift attracted large numbers of blacks to the Muslim movement, leading to the establishment of NOI temples throughout the country.

A desert peninsula in 6th century was the cross roads of the world, the bridge between Europe, Asia and Africa. Arabia was a vacant wasteland of desert, rarely seeing any life besides that of the trade caravans. City states dominated the political life and the only form of centralized government was in chaos. This was Arabia in the 6th century, this even though Christian was to become the staging ground for the growth of the 2nd largest religion that exists today. This is where the "Prophet" Muhammad was born in the city of Mecca.
The Muslim prophet, Muhammad, was born in 570 in the city of Mecca. Muhammad lived a normal life just like any Muslim, until he began seeing visions believed to be inspired by Allah. Muhammad believed that since Allah has already revealed himself to Moses and Jesus, it was now his turn to receive the final revelations. After receiving them, Muhammad tried to convince his people that the revelations were true, but most thought he was insane and crazy, or that he would upset the social and political order of society. As a result, Muhammad and some of his followers left to the rival city of Yathrib in 622. Yathrib was later renamed Medina, which meant “city of prophet”, as he began to win support from the residents in Medina and on the surrounding country side. With these people, Muhammad formed the first Muslim community.
Muhammad a prophet for our time is written by Karen Armstrong. This book is like a diary that tells the life of Muhammad and how he played a big role in the Islamic religion. Muhammad was born in the year 570 ce and died in 623 ce. Muhammad was a man who did not have much going for him, he couldn’t read and lived in a cave with his wife at the time. When Muhammad was reached down upon by Allah he did not know what was happening and why it was happening. “ he knew that some people expected the imminent arrival of an Arab prophet, but it never occurred to him that he would be the one entrusted with the mission.” (p.10). Muhammad was 40 years old when this happened and he lived in Mecca. Mecca at the time had many different civilizations and was a big trading center. Arabs at the time did not like this and kept moving from places to place to get something stable. Some of the Arabs even had settled in urban areas around Mecca. Society in Mecca was based on laws and traditions that even though Allah is the main god
The third article of faith in Islam, is the belief in all the prophets and messengers sent by God, ending with Muhammad. All messengers were chosen by God to teach mankind. They were all human, and have no share in divinity, but they are the perfect paradigms for humanity. The messages were all the same, as it came from one God. Their fundamental message was identical, reminding mankind of Allah’s oneness, the reward of a good life, and the Day of Judgment and the terrible punishment for disbelievers (“Islamic Path”). In the Quran, the holy book of Islam, it states the names of the twenty-five prophets, and every Muslim accepts them all. Except for Muhammad, all prophets are considered to be national or local messengers. Muhammad, on the other hand, is considered a prophet for all the nations. He is also described as the “Seal of all Prophets,” as stated in the Quran. He stands as the last messenger. In the Quran, the phenomena of earlier prophets are recognized. Those prophets included, Abraham, Noah, Jesus, Moses, and many others.
Muhammad, who is believed to be a prophet of God, is considered the last prophet sent by god to the Muslim people. Muhammad is believed to have brought the word of God through the Qur’an. The Prophets’ life started in Mecca where he grew up orphaned. During his life, specifically in the month of Ramadan, he would spend time in a cave outside Mecca where he originally received revelations about the sacred text. Originally Muhammad found little success preaching God’s word but eventually gained a following of Muslim people, which would turn into the tradition it is today.
