To begin with is Budget Cuts. Clearly when an economy ends up plainly feeble, focal government cuts the financial plan for states thus the state government cuts the optional spending first. This routinely joins money for preparing and supplemental educational tasks. Exactly when a state cuts guideline spending designs, it realizes bring down teacher pay rates, lessened contracts, and upkeep. Financing for various enlightening tasks that favorable position understudies and the gathering are in like manner uncommonly diminished which prompts an insufficiently showed understudy
money for both school and states, because school can cut down the number of teachers to hire and
Hundreds of New Jersey's movers and shakers are currently headed to Washington aboard an Amtrak train — but for the first time in six years, Gov. Chris Christie won't be there to meet them when they arrive.
In the past America has been a dominant superpower in the field of military strength, but for the last few decades, our military has encountered abounding liquidations and sequestrations, which lead to huge budget cuts. Nevertheless, America has faced many politicians planning to cut down on our military by virtue of it is simply cost effective. The Clinton Foundation has been cutting our military for countless years. Also, under the Obama Administration has been enacting laws comparable to the Budget Control Act or (BCA) which has been siphoning our military for the past 8 years. For countless years, defense officials remain silent due to the Obama Administration, vaguely America could keep its budget under control. Consequently, all four
During the recent recession of 07-09, California public schools had a massive loss of funding. Because of this, over 30,000 teachers were laid off. This led to larger classroom sizes , which resulted in a less personal learning experience for students, something that is very important for younger ages. Student programs and classes like art and music were also cut. Tuition went up for students in college and college graduates with teaching degrees were unable to find jobs.
Hello, Caitlyn. I personally believe a balanced budget amendment would be in order considering politicians refuse to stop the spending. The reason I would call for a balanced budget amendment is because of Greece. After seeing the mess Greece is in, along with a myriad of many other European countries, I believe national debt is not manageable because the government will continue to spend more than they take in taxes. The Grecian government refused to reform their entitlement programs, so they went into default. The U.S. needs to reform our spending before we head down the same path of self-destruction.
I believe that my side, which is against the “balance budget amendment”, has week arguments. The article does not provide any arguments based on facts, but instead speculations and opinions. The author discusses many negative outcomes that this amendment would have on the stimulus the government provides and efficiency of the economy, despite that his rationale behind these arguments is reasonable he does not provide historical examples, statistics, etc.
Evaluate the case for cutting public expenditure rather than raising taxes as a means of reducing fiscal deficits.
During the activity, I chose federal budget cuts for domestic programs and foreign aid. I cut foreign aid in half. I do not think that America needs to help the world anymore. We have already helped out a lot and we should only help towards people that really need it, such as starving Africans, instead of funding wars overseas. I cut the pay of civilian federal workers by 5 percent. People in the federal government get paid more and more every year while citizens of our country get paid a lower minimum wage than a lot of other places in the world. I cut 250,000 government contractors. There are more contractors than government officials, which means more money spent on a government that does not fully have the needs of the country in mind. In addition, I chose federal budget cuts for the military. I reduced the number of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to 30,000 by 2013. We do not need the troops in Iraq or Afghanistan anymore. The war is over. Let the country figure out what it needs to do by itself. We helped create the uprising there, so we can help diminish it by reducing troops. I also chose federal budget cuts for healthcare. I enacted medical malpractice reform. I think it is important that our doctors research as much as they can about a procedure or a medicine, so that they can provide the proper care for a patient and reduce the risk of getting sued.
The federal budget is in crisis and the national debt is growing by the second. In an effort to stabilize the budget, I propose to cut spending in the areas of reducing troops in Afghanistan, healthcare, tax expenditures, and social security amongst others. While the premise behind helping others in our nation and abroad is an honorable idea, we need to find ways to do this while incentivizing people who work hard, rather than penalizing them.
In my personal angle, I think we can refer that the government may be the cause of the education business issue. In fact, government intervention is the main cause because it is government intervention that provides the slack tuition-borrow policy and
Oklahoma as of today is ranked 49th nationally in per-pupil expenditures and ranked 48th in teacher pay (Klein 2). Putting Oklahoma as one of the worst states to be educated in the United States. “Oklahoma is consistently ranked near the bottom for education funding and teacher pay” (“Investing In Education Is Key For Growth And Job Creation” 3). When there are state cuts that need to be made, the departments of education are one of the first that usually tend to suffer. Since the 2008 economic crisis, Oklahoma has continued to cut the budget for education; even though the economy has since then gotten better (Perry). Budget cuts in education affect all parts of the education process for the students. “Some school districts have ordered teacher layoffs and shorter sessions” (“Oklahoma Makes the Poor Poorer” par 4).Schools are now struggling to keep their heads above water. Each year from the budget cutting, schools have had to lay off teachers, cut entire programs, and have limited resources used to educate the students. Even the teachers’ retirement system is suffering, being one of the top poorly funded pension programs nationally (Ash par 3). Seeing as that the schools have to cut down classes and programs, administration has had no other choice than to increase class size, overwhelming teachers tremendously. “Oklahoma has 1,500 fewer classroom teachers and 40,000 more students since 2008-2009” (“Investing In Education Is Key For Growth
Ambition: a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. Generally, ambition is a quality that triggers hard work and yields success. However, when you lust after something as treacherous as power, the risks are high. The strong ambition and lust for power has ended in tragedy for multiple historical figures such as Mussolini or Hitler and evidently, Macbeth. Macbeth’s strong desire to obtain something as “satisfying” as power over others quickly resulted in thoughtless plans and hysterical actions.
The Ascension Catholic Church is located in 2950 North Harbor City Blvd Melbourne Florida. The close proximity of the church from my home enabled me make a visit to the church last Sunday for the morning mass at 9.30 am. My neighbor who is a member of the church had earlier invited me to visit the church with him on Wednesday evening. He further informed me of the church's dressing code and even suggested that I accompany him to the church. However, since I wanted to get more exposure I declined this offer. Instead, we resolved to attend the Sunday service since it had higher attendance from the congregation (Ascension Catholic Community1).
Education is the most important possession a person must have. It is the keys to success, wealth, and knowledge. It is the only possession that cannot be taken away from a person and it will open up the windows of opportunities. Education will help us grow as an individual, have better understanding of life, and give us a financial stability; but what happens when education get cuts down. By making budget cuts to education, is this helping out education or letting it down. In the news article, “Highlights Impact of Budget Cuts to Education” by State School Chief Jack O’Connell, his claim is that governor should not cuts down education budget, but instead protect education and invest it in the future.
In today’s economic environment even the wealthiest states and districts are having to cut funding for education, while districts which were already teetering on the edge are now in an even worse position. In some schools children have to face not having enough books, paper for copies, severe overcrowding,
