I. Prostitution has been legalized in Germany since 1927. In Germany, since prostitution has been legalized, they receive health insurance, social benefits, and they pay taxes. In Greece, they have followed what Germany is doing till this day. They have legalized prostitution in New Zealand, Austria, Denmark, Ecuador, and Netherlands. For prostitution: Licensed prostitutes must be at least 21 years old, except in Storey County and Lyon County (where the minimum age is 18), prostitution is legal, but it is illegal when committed in a hotel. Nevada State law purposes that prostitution and solicitation is legalized in countries that have less than 400,000 residents. Since April 2013, there has been 19 brothels in Nevada. II. My bill would help others out in many ways, there would definitely be a change in how the system would work. A. If prostitution was to be legalized, I hope to make woman not feel as if they were being forced, have a smoother system going, and making sure nothing was to go wrong. B. Like everything would be clean, things would be much safer, and there would be no drug related options. III. The world’s biggest human rights group from London would support my bill 100%. States that legalize prostitution can require sex workers to use condoms and get tested for sexually transmitted diseases. Sex workers in Nevada have to get monthly tests for syphilis and HIV and weekly tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Nevada also requires condoms for all sex in brothels. This law is posted on the outside of the state's brothels, according to the paper by Barbara Brents and Kathryn Hausbeck of the University of Nevada. If sex work is not going to disappear anytime soon, anyone who cares about the health and safety of sex workers – not to mention their rights – should support moves to make it a fully legal industry.
