I can definitely appreciate the Psychology studies so far from just reading and taking the time to understand the many Disorders that have been discussed in out textbook. In my simple mind I have begun to think that if there is any sickness, disorder or behavior in human beings it can be explained in terms of Psychology. That makes me believe that the study is not easy at all.
It is as difficult as medical studies in trying to be a physician or a doctor. It requires an observant mind and much reading. Also a psychologist needs a lot of patience as samples of all types of disorders can be found around us everyday and these are our patients to observe and learn. In this written assignment we were asked to define the following terms: fundamental attribution error, cognitive dissonance, and diffusion of responsibility.
By definition of the term 'fundamental attribution error ' also known as 'correspondence bias ' means we have a tendency to judge others on personal factors and overlook the actual situation that exists for this behavior. For example in a restaurant we see a customer give a huge tip to the waitress. We immediately think what a generous person this customer is. He/she very well might be generous but could it be that this customer really enjoyed the meal or the service of the waitress or overall the ambiance of the restaurant? So our immediate judgment was based on personal factor instead of knowing the actual situation that caused the customer to behave

Tell me about a time you had to go beyond your comfort zone and personal limits to satisfy an unhappy customer.
Humans who are being over diagnosed with disorders, causes the spending of too much money on drugs and medication that could be harmful and is not needed for them to take. The objective of this book is to let people become aware of what is going on around the world. The audience that this book aims towards is the public. The main objective of Dr. Frances is to alert the public, health care professionals and clinicians about the misinformed diagnosis of people and the misdirected treatment and medications that are prescribed to people who are “normal.” Everyday pains and suffering are being diagnosed as mental illnesses and disorders. Psychiatry has specified people with false labels. The first of many arguments is that people are very worried that when a new disorder is brought up, that they have this disorder or illness. Another argument in this book is the misdiagnosis between mental disorder and normality. Many people who experience completely normal grief could be mislabeled as having a psychiatric problem. The next argument is to separate the people who have diseases from normality. Allen Frances blames the internet and social networking for the over diagnosis of mental disorder. This book is also about the high percentage of people who are now diagnosed with a mental illness,
People have found that DSM–V eliminates legal problems as a criterion therefore state that it is a disease.
Mental disorders have long been the Achilles heel of the medical world. With each case having some degree of uniqueness, physicians are often unable to fully treat these types of conditions with just a generalized medication or textbook treatment option. There are many competing theories as to how one falls ill to a mental disorder. Some claim that it occurs solely through chemical imbalances within a person’s brain, while others see it as a more wholistic problem that is the result of an endless possibility of differing factors. Through the characterization found within “Superstar” and “The Yellow Wallpaper” and the data shown in studies done by the Medical University of Lublin, it becomes evident that seemingly internal disorders, such as anorexia and hysteria, are caused, in reality, by the need for social control that develops in response to purely external factors such as daunting expectations or stressful lifestyle.
And finally the clinical approach on mental disorders will be explored and the risk factors and

Tipping your server is very important, to them. Servers basically rely on tips to makeup for our low hourly wages. Some people just want a nice meal without spending a bucket of money but tipping your serve is almost a must. I’ve worked at 2 different restaurants and serves where only paid $5.00 or $4.75. Until the late twentieth century, psychiatric illnesses were regarded as simply a default in the child’s personality, not a biological disorder. In the late twentieth century, “ADHD was renamed from Minimal Brain Dysfunction to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder”, and CHADD (Children and Adults with ADD) and ADDA (Attention Deficit Disorder Association) were created and brought awareness to the country on the effects of ADHD/ADD (Bailey). This kickstarted an era in which mental health became a priority for youth, and this attention brought an increase in diagnoses for disorders such as ADHD/ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), Depression, and GAD (Generalized Anxiety
When we got some problems, such as customer complains. For example, one customer ordered one fish & chips. The special order from that customer was no chill, but one front staff didn’t mention it to us. So we served it normally than the customer complained it. We told the staff who got that order to apology to the customer. We offered one soup to the customer during waiting new fish & chips. As result of that the customer accepted our prompted acts.
From schizophrenia to bipolar disorder to severe depression there is no question that these are serious mental illnesses that are debilitating and require constant medical care and according to the American Psychiatric Association(APA) hording and internet disorders are just a couple of new diagnosis that they have added to the manual of mental disorder or DSM. But is this addition of new mental disorders really beneficial for the patients or is this a way for doctors and pharmaceutical companies to cash in? , this paper proposes both drawbacks and benefits to the diagnosis of mental disorders as well as investigation of some specific examples of diagnosed disorders. However, the paper’s main direction is to focus on the drawbacks which
Why the practice of tipping has emerged as a major method of compensating the wait staff;
It’s always nice to go out to eat, order a nice meal that you do not have to cook and be served everything you want. When going out to eat, have you ever thought about the person that is serving you food, getting you drinks, and making sure you have a pleasant experience at the restaurant of your choice? That person is a server. He or she is a waiter or waitress. I’ve gone out to eat a lot, and I’ve always been a little curious what is like to be the person serving the food and not eating it.
We both immediately started laughing, and he just looked at both of us with a puzzled grin. He then told us to enjoy our meal and we both thanked him. Since we both lost the bet, we decided to raise the stakes and see which one of us he would give the bill to. Whoever the bill was handed to would have to pay for the bill, and treat the other person out to a movie, as well. When the waiter returned, after we had finished our meals, we were shocked again when we noticed that he set the bill at the end of the table directly in between us. At the point, we starting laughing hysterically, and then thanked him for all that he did for us. He looked at us both again with the same puzzled grin, and told us to have a great rest of the day. As we got up to go pay our bill, we decided to leave him a 20 dollar tip not only for his great customer service, but for his non-biased first impressions of us and his non-judgmental
