Most psychotropic drugs are prescribed after the method of psychoeducation and therapy have failed in improving the current state and condition of the patient. Psychotropic drugs are not meant to be an instant solution; they are intended to work alongside a therapy in hopes that in taking them will bring about some significant improvements in therapy.
