My interest in teaching started when I would go to work with my mother. I would sit on a chair and color, while she would teach . She would have so much love and patience for those kids. She loved going to work everyday; she enjoyed it so much. It was one of her passions besides singing for God. That is when I realized I wanted to become a teacher. When seeking a teaching career as a teacher, a person should look at aspects, but even as one's responsibilities, necessary skills, work conditions, salary, and its prospects , but even more importantly is to prepare oneself properly by attending an institution of higher learning that will offer the best training possible, and this is why I would like to attend Texas A&M University Kingsville. The teacher would get to speak so many languages, for example, French, Spanish, English, and so many more. For bilingual teachers it’s usually just Spanish and English, they learn, but it also depends on what state they are in. They usually have to help students learn their learn either more Spanish, or more English. Depending on what language they need more help in. Learning more languages makes a better - rounded child. Children have a better advantage to learning more languages. They grasp the language way better than adults do. Any language stays in their mind because they speak everyday. If they are capable of learning a language, they usually do. Someone who isn't capable or determined, they just won't do …show more content…
Positive things about it is that they can put you into a part of the college full of girls. If you don’t feel comfortable just around boys. They take really good care of you while you are there. Don’t be scared while you stay or walk around to get you to where you need to go. If you need any help with any classes you can just ask your professor or a tutor for help.
Texas A&M University Kingsville also has its negative side. First of all it’s kind of far away from home. Some people may live for example in Mexico and they would have to go all the way to Kingsville to get to school. Your dorm may be far away from the school ,or from your classes. You are going to have to walk a lot to get to class. Even to go eat at the cafeteria ; you have to walk far depending where your dorm is. Sometimes you're not going to be able to see your family due to having class. You're going to miss your friends also, but you will make friends at school. Going to a far away school isn't that
Ever since my sister attended Troy University and told me about all the superior activities Troy has to offer, I have wanted to attend this college. Troy has an outstanding nursing program, and that is the career field I plan on going into prior graduation. I have always wanted to specialize in neonatal nursing with sick babies. Troy also has some awesome sororities at their school I am interested in being a part of. Alpha Gamma Delta is the sorority I am most interested in. They strive to achieve academic excellence and they help out their school as much as they can. Lastly, Troy has a very beautiful, clean, and safe campus. Feeling safe while walking around your college is a very important factor to me.
I have known from a young age I wanted to become a teacher when I grew up. Throughout high school, the passion I have
The college is a great place to call home and live in their dorms, you said dorms?? Yes i did say dorms, you would be surprised by the size. They have reasonable living for reasonable money, something me you can buy. The higher you want to educate yourself, and for higher degrees you will be paying a lot more. So for your masters let's say, you would be paying a lot more for a Masters Degree, when for a Bachelor's. Of course it will be a
I first became interested in teaching in my sophomore year in high school. My inspiration came from three amazing teachers who showed passion for their subject matter as well as a love for teaching. My desire to become a teacher was amplified by the many leadership and teaching roles that I took on while I was in Boy Scouts. While teaching in Boy Scouts I learned that teaching was what mattered most to me. Under my leadership, I helped advance many scouts to the rank of Eagle Scout as well as winning multiple awards at every summer camp that we attended. This was my jumping point into enrolling in Old Dominion University’s education program.
My passion for teaching started at a very young age. My mother is a first grade teacher and gave me my first exposure to teaching. Any time anyone asked me what I was going to be when I grew up I always said I would be a teacher. Once I started attending El Camino College, I was a tutor at my elementary school, which is where my mother teaches. My first hands on experience
In families where multiple languages are spoken, being bilingual helps children to connect with their families on a deeper level and maintain strong relationships with family members and friends who speak the mother tongue. It gives parents a deeper bond with their children, which is greatly beneficial to the child’s development. Bilingual children are better able to participate in their native customs, including the language. This helps them to hold on to their heritage, which in turn helps them to figure out who they are and to build their identity. Being able to speak English helps them to integrate socially into the “mainstream” life in America. Bilingual children really get the best of both worlds. They are able to better fit in socially due to their ability to speak English, while at the same time they are able to forge a strong bond with their family whether or not the rest of the family is
So coming from such as a small community and such a small high school the chance to get into this college will help me out in a great manner because it will lead me a long way in life. Therefore that will give me a chance to be successful in my career that the college can teach me for. Also palm beach college can teach you to be a responsible person and teach you to not depend on nobody for your work. Whenever you get a great advice from people close around telling you how great of a college palm beach state is it also motivates and encourages you to want to come to the campus even more. Most of all the college do not be in section all day like a typical high school and another things is the professor may teach you people skills that most people may not have because they have been shy they whole four years of high school. What encourages me the most is the college is not a type of college where you do all types of partying and things that will have you distracted from learning like most university do becauses they have many parties on campus that can lead you to messing up with your grades. That’s why I would love to have a chance to be able to be on the campus of the
No specific teacher sparked my interest in teaching, it just sort of happened. I have always been asked what I would like to be when I grow up, and my answer has been “I want to be a teacher”, it did although sometimes change over time but now that I am able to participate in a classroom full
My first year at The University of Texas has been an amazing adventure. I took very intriguing classes such as: psychology, genetics, chemistry one and two, microbiology, ethics, sociology, physics, political science, environmental science, and creative writing. I greatly enjoyed the different people that you meet. The students that you are surrounded with have the same mind set and the same goals. Everyone is very friendly and kind. My first day of school I was lost for the total of an hour but a few students were kind enough to walk me to my building just to make sure I got there. I love the environment of self-teaching and striving for the knowledge you wish to achieve. The professors are all very kind and helpful if you are willing to ask.
My desire to become a teacher began while I was in junior high school however; my family, friends, and coaches basically turned me against it. They said it was a jobless market with no future. At that age, those people were very impressionable on my decisions, and because of this I became disillusioned about my career, and at that point I just knew I wanted to attend college.
Of course, I had always known it was a school, but never had I thought about how great it supposedly is, academically. And yet, I was conflicted about attending. A school known for its academic earns its reputation for a reason. I anticipated a copious amount of strenuous work. My last school was challenging, but the homework was on the lesser side. I fear that, being accustomed to low amounts, I won't be able to keep up with assignments. In a certain class, I hide myself when the teacher is calling on students because I never know an answer and everyone else seems to. At the same time, I don't want my participation grade to be lowered because of this. These thoughts have been running through my mind the past
When completing the reading Chapter 6: Linguistic Diversity in U.S Classrooms the chapter was focused on the impact education can have in students’ learning more specifically language. Despite the hostility, bilingual education has ultimately proved to be an effective program for students. Still, teachers should take on the notion of additive bilingualism which is a situation where a second language is learnt by an individual or a group without detracting from the development of the first language. The reading emphasizes that a second language adds to, rather than replaces the first language. Students should embrace their first language as being bilingual is an advantage. As a pre-service teacher his reading informs me to give students the
My motivation for teaching is setting the goal to make a difference in a students life. The feeling of teaching a child a lesson, and them understanding it, is a rewarding experience for a teacher. I have also been a babysitter for about 6 years, and being around children makes me happy and I love the relationships that I have built with all the kids I have cared for in the past. What really motivated me to go back to school for teaching, was this past summer after having the opportunity to be a camp counselor. While working at that day camp, the relationships and bonds that formed throughout the summer, are ones that I am never going to forget about.
Going to college is a big jump in the life of anyone who decides to enroll and not everyone who attends has the same expectations. Coming to Western Kentucky University, I have high hope and expectations. I admit that I want to have a lot of fun socially, but I also want to succeed academically. I believe WKU is a good place for me. I think being on this campus is going to help me grow as a person.
There are many reasons why I want to be a teacher. Starting with the most important, I want to influence children positively with Christian perspectives that will help them achieve satisfaction in their life. I also would like the opportunity to coach. I believe coaches have more influence on children than teachers. I think this is true because sports are something that the
