In order to prepare myself, I chose to major in criminal justice, with the intention of becoming a defense attorney. During my senior year, I decided that I did not want to go to law school directly after college. Shortly after graduation, I moved to New York City and explored other career options. When I first moved to New York City, I transferred locations with my current employer and I also pursued modeling. I successfully acquired non-exclusive contracts with multiple agencies and booked jobs directly with companies. Some of the most memorable moments of my lifetime occurred when I modeled. I had dynamic travel experiences, met some of my favorite celebrities, and was exposed to the entertainment industry. On the other hand, sometimes it was necessary to advocate on my own behalf; this reignited my desire to attend law school. For instance, there was an incident with an agent who booked me for a promotional modeling job that was cancelled, and I was not informed until I arrived at the venue. Consequently, I notified the agent, and requested full payment from the client. Fortunately, I received full payment, because I took that initiative.
