Ever since I was born, I am surrounded by art. Pursuing art is like my family tradition, I am the fourth generation in my family who decided to use visual arts to share our perspectives to the rest of the world. I am not the kind of people who are good at starting verbally communication. For me, art is the way that I communicate with others. Communicating through art, I was able to let people see the way that I see the world.
To me, art does not really have a standard, and there should not be evaluations of right or wrong arts. I believe the main purpose the art serve is that it should be visually appealing, and the audience can feel the emotion that is behind your art work. People have hundreds and thousands of different emotions, but we
In this class art has taught me many things that I didn’t know before or that they were associated with art particularly. This has gave me the opportunity to appreciate art and what it gives us the chances to do with it. Art also has changed my views on many things. To be specific, according to what I have learned in this class, it has changed my view on the role art has in reflecting social, economic, and humanistic issues. Also, I have learned many new artists that had works that were particularly meaningful in expanding my view of the world. All in all, art has many things to it to learn and appreciate from and to give you the chance to learn something that is creative and beautiful that you didn’t know about before.
In Elizabeth Bishop’s poem, One Art, it displays the acceptance Bishop has for losing things. Each stanza the losses get more significant, until she finally displays the one thing she can’t accept losing. Elizabeth Bishop uses techniques such as verse form and repetition to display her feelings toward those losses.
Creating personal art helps to express to others your point of view or perspective. By creating a personal art piece I was able to reflect on myself and illustrate how I view myself to share with other. I started my selecting a picture that I thought would help to portray a message. I also thought about the images that I would draw to really depict my character. When I was selecting my photo I tried to pick one that represented something. I chose a picture that was taken from behind me. To me this picture represents seeing things from my point of view. When you stand behind a person and glance over their shoulder you are essentially seeing the same things that they are. For the pictures that I chose I had to really think and consider what
Less Than: Art and reductionism and Denise Green: Beyond and Between – A painter’s journey. A comparative Essay written by Thomas Brooks, Benjamin Dutton, Jasmine Smith and Megan Thomason. Collection displays inhibit the ideologies of a singular conceptual premise under the constraints of the viability and range within the institutions collection, whereas the tasks involved in composing a monographic show, including the original parameters of an institution͛s collection, result in further curatorial concerns (George 2015, 39). How does the curatorial rationale and exhibition design influence the artworks displayed within a collection based exhibition? This essay will critically
Creating art gives me a fulfillment, one that makes me feel like I’ve done something good. I don't just do it because it makes me feel good but because I enjoy it. Making something that shows my emotions and then other people start to feel what I feel without words. The way that this can be really seen is when the facial expressions change to what
Over the years different forms of art have been made and stored as treasures thereby forming an aspect that has been carried on for centuries. Art may be done in the form of paintings, sculpture, playwright, or poetry to provide the audience with the producer’s expression. Some forms of art have been made to express political, religious, societal, or filial messages. This paper tries to focus its attention on paintings as one form of art and specifically on the 1380 Virgin and Child done by Antonio Veneziano and the 1504 Madonna Del Granduca by Raphael Sanzio. Both paintings are from different eras of art work, which as Gothic and Renaissance respectively and focus on the human form with religion being depicted as the theme. Both exhibit numerous variations of possible meaning, color, shading, and styles from lines. The two paintings show a commonality and transformation of the art techniques from perspective to humanism and try to capture the moment, which is beautiful from the look of their eyes.
Art is undefined. There are no rules and no boundaries to art. Art is whatever you want it to be. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It seems like today, art is everywhere. Someone is trying to express how they feel or trying to persuade people to their cause or efforts. Art to us is the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci, or Starry Night by Van Gogh; but it also can be spray paint on the side of a train, or a drawing on the bathroom stall. However you feel, you can express yourself through art. It is a way to relay your feelings to the general public. It seems that the best art, is the art that leaves you guessing the meaning. Wondering what the artist was feeling when making their piece. There is no right
First and foremost, art is a crucial part of my life. One of the many reasons I like art is because it’s so free form. You don’t need to listen to instructions, or make your art look a certain way. It’s independant and rule free. As students, we spend a lot of time being told what to do by teachers, our parents, etc. With art you can do whatever you want! You aren’t conformed to one genre or style. If you want to do something unique or weird you can! After all, artistic freedom is one of the reasons art is so beautiful. Secondly, art is important to me because it’s so relaxing. It’s a great way to lose yourself and just let go. After a long day when your over fatigued and and worn-out, it’s nice to sit down and just loosen up. To forget everything for a bit and just do something you love. Lastly, art is meaningful to me because it’s an amazing way to express yourself. With art you can show who you truly are and how you honestly feel in a way that’s unique and therapeutic. In summary, art is important to me because art is so free form, because art is relaxing, and because art is a good way to express yourself.
Art is a form of expression that I could never abandon in my life. I became an artist at a young age, and I can still remember the day art came into my life like angel sent straight from God. It was my first time watching my Pops draw a portrait. It was around noon on Saturday in the summer because the ‘noon’ heat was almost unearthly. However the vibe in our small two bedroom apartment was absolutely groovy and cool. Pops was playing the oldies from the 70’s. “ Sweet love, my sweet love you'll be crying out my name”, I heard as the talented Anita Baker filled my home's walls with even more soul! He was drawing a self portrait. The detail in the drawing was so hyper realistic. At the time I did not know that it was a self portrait. I thought it was just a black man with his hands placed both sides of his head as if inside he was going crazy inside. My pops hands moved so smoothly as if each finger had a tiny brain in the tip where the pencil touched. I was around 8 years old at the time. From that moment I knew I would want to be an artist, because that type of expression seemed best for my dad. I always paid attention to the early teachings from the big guy. The cleanliness of the lines that my dad had , it almost seemed as if he was a surgeon of the paper. He would start with this blank piece paper and hours later it would become a piece of his life , and in some ways it would become a major part of mine.
Art is something that defines me because I have always done it since a very young age. I enjoy Art because it’s a broad topic it isn’t just one thing that I like about it. It’s more like everything about Art that I enjoy, for example one of them is drawings. I like to draw from people to objects. I like how you can shade and erase, I like how you can add charcoal which is one of my favorite things to use when I draw overall you can just make it your own drawing; make it unique that only you know why you drew it the way you did. I also like how drawings don't have to be perfect to be a good drawing, because their isn't such thing as good drawing and bad drawing in my perspective and opinion. After all, I like drawing because I like the feeling after finishing a drawing and feeling like I accomplished with something and how drawings can be
Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, it is our thoughts, emotions, and a personal journal that occasionally comes easier way to communicate what’s inside of the mind.
Even though As the Saying goes, "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder," so it is with art! Whatever one deems as art in their eyes so it shall be.,. Art is infinite and can be defined in so many ways. because Art is too diverse to be contained in one area, it is also based on seeing, feeling, and what we know. After all, art is an expression of emotions, and our responses to art are a learned behavior that is influenced by culture, gender, race, geography, education and class.
Art is a way for me to visualise my personal ideas and express myself in a way for others to interpret. I enjoy being able to create something from an idea, as well as exploring my individuality and by choosing this course I will be able to refine my skills to specialise in the areas I really enjoy.
I believe art is one’s ability to express themselves creatively in whatever field of choice they choose. Art can be defined in so many ways. Our art experience is based on seeing, feeling, and what we know. After all art is an expression of emotions. Our responses to art are a learned behavior that is influenced by class, gender, race, geography, education and culture. The art forms that have meaning to me are Music, Poetry and Photography. The essence of my culture and who I am resonates in these works of art.
When we hear the word “art” we start to imagine something beautiful and maybe complicated. Through the paintings (or other forms of art), artist can express his creative skill and imagination, and these works are appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
