After I did my morning assessment on my patients, passed medications, and made sure I was caught up with my charting. I would help my patients with completing as many as their ADLs as I could. This helped me to ensure that the patient was bathed, cleaned, and dressed, and also to observe for an deficits in their ability to provide self care. I make sure to have all the supplies I need before providing care and if I was missing something I asked for the CNA to help me gather the needed supplies.
The quiz was fairly easy. I read though the documents a couple of times and I managed to get a 19/20. We did get a couple of extra days to study due to snow days and delays. This was in terms of support was somewhat slow. Most of the problems were just as simple as a force shutdown. Also, I helped Mrs. Chase startup the desktops for the PLTW rooms as well as getting the serial numbers off each laptop in the vault.
Through this internship, I have learned more about myself and what I enjoy doing. For example, I learned that I actually enjoy participating in different aspects of research such as scoring data analyzing how the data applies to clinical settings and real world matters. This came as a slight surprise to me, as I thought I would get bored with my tasks early on and regret choosing the internship site that I did. However, I could see myself writing up grants and conducting research for an organization as a possible future career path. During my internship at Aflac, I learned a lot and got to experience what it is to work in an insurance company. Going from one department to the other I had the opportunity to get a sense of what real people do on a regular basis. This exposure allowed me to identify the sales area as the area in which I would like to develop more knowledge and eventually work.

Throughout the weeks that I have been interning, I was able to expand my skill set on technology and it enabled me to communicate with others effectively. Interning on the company that has multiple departments will improve my ability to communicate and network properly in the business world.

A successful internship can provide valuable information in making decisions about the direction of future studies or employment. No matter where the skills and understanding of professionalism lie, internship is a chance to develop them even further.
I was able to be successful in this internship because I had to utilize and develop many new skills. I used my interpersonal skills such as: coping strategies; peer relationships and effective social skills; communication, problem-solving techniques, decision-making, conflict resolution, how to work in a team, where everyone depends on each other and a lot of patience. I developed many new skills such as multitasking, problem solving/decision making, and leadership qualities. I learned that I am a role model. It is important to develop a good relationship with students; however, I must keep in mind that I am expected to behave myself in a professional manner at all times. I also learned some of the important skills of a teacher such as: how to provide direct instructions, clarify content, teach skills and answer the students questions; help students identify their skills, abilities, and long term plans regarding education and personal problems.
