Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement Introduction: In this assignment I am going to analyse the quality assurance and quality improvement framework and procedures on my teaching programme. The efforts to improve quality in education are very important and in recent years have received increasing attention. In particular three main factors, external pressure played an important role. * Educational Issues: Concerns about performance of schools and colleges. * Political Issues: Concerns about reducing public spending as a proportion of GDP and other public spending. * Economic Arguments: Concerns about the links between educational spending and economic success, especially in comparison with competitor nations.…show more content…
The approval process will be carried out in the first instance by an External Verifier. This is normally carried out on a visit where the EV will meet the Centre Co-ordinator or Manager and some of the team responsible for implementing and managing the NVQ/VQ. The awarding body will provide an External Verifier (this may be the same EV who has carried out the approval visit) whose role is to maintain the quality of all assessment and verification processes within the centre in line with the Common Code of Practice on an ongoing basis of regular contact and centre visits.” In my college, we use City& Guilds as our awarding body. So as a teacher I need to make sure that all of my students are registered with the awarding body and I need to follow the course guideline to prepare my students to achieve the required qualification from the awarding body. In my situation I am teaching Entry level Adult Numeracy course I just need to keep record of students exam papers, make sure to follow all the rules for exam and Process the exam papers after the internal verification. Feedback and observation Schedule: As a teacher after every lesson I am recording student’s feedback for the particular lesson and plan for next lesson accordingly. I record this feedback on my lesson plans which help me to plan more constructively and according to students learning styles. I also record students feedback at the end of every term, which help me to improve
