Quality management is a systematic and continuous process that organizations use to deliver products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Quality management in healthcare has evolved over the years to address increased demands from consumers related to the quality of care and services, as well as to address problems in patients’ outcomes. The medical field tends to use quality management to focus on patient and staff safety, reducing medical errors, and avoiding or decreasing morbidity and mortality rates. These goals are set to improve quality within the organization. Some goals are both short and long term goals because the facility aims to achieve them in a short period of time but also want to continue achieving them throughout the future the following are some of the goals of home health care facilities:
Long Term
1) Facilitate the attainment of the patient's optimal level of rehabilitation.
2) To allow family members to remain together as long as feasible.
3) To assist the patient and family to maintain as normal a lifestyle as possible.
4) To provide employment opportunities for individuals in a fair, safe, and professional business atmosphere with equal opportunity for all.
5) To ethically manage all organizational relationships with the client and the public
6) To provide home health care services and training sufficient to ensure the client and their caregiver the assumption of personal responsibility for health and personal needs
7) To provide educational opportunities within the health care system for employees through an ongoing participation in professional organizations
8) To improve the highest quality comprehensive health care service available through a coordinated plan of medical, nursing treatment and everyday living needs to patients

1) To provide essential health and welfare services.
