If I was supposed to stand for any three of the issues based on the category I fall, those would-be homosexuality, abortion and environment. Among these too I would focus more on environment. Environment is where we live everyday, so it is our responsibility to keep it clean and a best place to live. Our way of living depends on the environment we live in. Living in a healthy environment guarantees healthy life. We citizens are responsible for improving as well as degrading the condition of our environment. These days people pay more attention on their own cleanliness rather than their surrounding but people forget that this is the surrounding that gives the identification of how responsible they are as a citizen. Keeping own’s environment clean is making themselves free form diseases and unhealthy life style. Keeping our environment clean prevents the invitation of several other problems. When I tallied my views with the democratic and republican party, I found my views about the issues get matched with democratic party. It seems more concerned about the environment. It has recognized the things that are causing environmental problem like the crop failure and drought which is caused by the climate disruption. It also recommends statewide and national clean policies. Also, it suggests the policies such as public education programs that promote methods and benefits of energy conservation, the enforcement of the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act for all industries.
“The modern Democratic Party is the descendant of the Democratic-Republican Party, an early-nineteenth-century political organization led by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Also known as the Jeffersonian Republican Party, the Democratic-Republican Party began as an antifederalist group, opposed to strong, centralized government. The party was officially established at a national nominating convention in 1832. It dropped the Republican portion of its name in 1840.” As stated in the free dictionary’s definition of the democratic party. The Democrat and Republican parties have differences as well as similarities such as their views on government decisions.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party generally supports workers’ rights and government programs to help people in need. The democrats are for same-sex marriage and fight for their equality. They feel that our economy should help everyone not just the wealthy, and that big business and corporations pay their fair share of taxes. In addition, they want to prevent business from taking advantage of the public. Democrats feel that there are better ways to make peace with terrorism such as through diplomacy and only using force when necessary. They also believe that we should not have to
Aashish Aman Professor Sharifian Govt 2306 29 September 2017 Texas House Representative According to Texas House of Representative, My district number is 105 as I am living in Irving and the name of Representative is Rodney Anderson. Government has been a paramount piece of the United States’s development after July 4, 1776. The role of government has been pivotal to the process of how America operates today. Government is an important part of America’s society because it protects individual rights of people. Government is a forever changing entity because it is a necessity to satisfy the people’s demands. As a political party, Democrats and Republicans have many views on different topics in America. Although the Democrats and Republicans may have different stances on modern issues in America, many of these politicians seem to have the same attitude toward changing policies on these issues/government. I believe that the democratic party is more appropriate party to represent the United States because of their philosophy. The traditional values of America needs to be altered and the democratic party represents the change that America needs. The democratic party best represents an ever-changing society by exemplifying the desires of the citizens as is apparent in their policies in regards to abortion, gun control, and same-sex marriage.

Aashish Aman Professor Sharifian Govt 2306 29 November 2017 The Campaign The data analysis of Texas tells that the Texas candidates spend the amount of money per vote discloses whether campaign won or lost with cheap or with high expenditure. The amount of cost required to run for the office in Texas depends on various things. It is based on three factors. Firstly, how much an applicant has raised their funds for the campaign; secondly, how much they are spending their money on a campaign and, most importantly, how many votes an applicant has received. Generally, the statewide campaigns are based on cost per vote but in some cases like an applicant in particular races limited to the smaller district are basically depends on the cost
Sabya Poudel Prof. Sherry Sharifian GOVT 2306-71426 October 29, 2017 The Champaign I would seek to run for the U.S House of Representative from Texas. I plan to have a cost of $18 per vote. As we know, different factors influence the cost of running for the office in Texas. The factor includes number of votes and the amount of resources that the candidates puts on. In my case, the number of votes that I would secure and resources that I have would seek to influence my spending levels. The campaigns that are targeted to national levels can be higher costs as compared to the district levels. Being a new person in the race would mean that I would have to invest more expenses as compared to incumbent individuals. 1 According to The
Anwesh Man Baisyat Professor Sharifian Texas Government 10/26/2017 The Campaign There is not an exact amount on how much it costs to run for office in Texas. There are some campaigns that “were run by people we have probably never heard of” (Essig). In the 2016 election, Juan “Chuy” Hinojsoa running for Texas Senate, District 20 spent $435,471.91 and managed to accumulate 131,973 votes. This means the cost of one vote for him was $3.30.
