The one-of-a-kind residence was originally built in 1930 as a log cabin and the 14.6 acres of woodland and pastoral hills were used as a hunting ground. In 1998, the home was replaced with the current 5,400 sq ft luxury property residence. The enchanting luxury cottage is nestled
I worked for the Kings County Board of Realtors before going back to school from 2007 till 2014, I feel I had a front row seat to what transpired. The market soared in the early 2000’s because loans were given out like candy to people that really couldn’t afford it and didn’t understand what they were signing up for when their rates would change and their houses were being ripped out from under them. I watched as houses were taken from families left setting empty for several months creating eye soars in the community. Other problems arose as well, pools left stagnant creating pest issues, break-ins by drug uses to collect cooper wiring and appliances. Bailouts by the government that were designed to help people keep their homes were being used by banks after the house sat in ruin for several months. One of the main problems I saw was the people that were creating the problem were also in charge of the solutions which is bad business. They were able to bail themselves out but it left families without homes.

Homeowners who were hit badly by the economy several of years ago were forced out of their homes. I know, because I was one of them. Ours is a rather long story, but to keep it short, my husband and I were both real estate agents. When the economy hit rock-bottom, we had some land that we could sell until we both acquired better paying jobs, however, three days before we were suppose to close on the land, we found out that the title company five years previously had messed up on the title and we could not sell it now. After fighting using lawyers, and money we didn’t have, to help us with the title company and bank that messed up on the recording, we finally gave up and walked away from our land and then our house, since we didn’t have

When you travel up the driveway, the property is invisible until you reach the crest of the hill and turn around a bank of evergreens. Suddenly you see an old farmhouse and a cottage with a large, scrubby lawn, a huge vegetable garden and a field of clover behind it all with the Skimmerhorn mountain range framing the back of the picture. If you’re lucky you may have startled some deer in the orchard that you probably didn’t notice driving by as you drank in the view. There is an openness but at the same time there are fir and tamarack trees, maple trees and Saskatoon shrubs marking off the border of seven acres of rural peace and quiet.
Every year, several foreigners visit this place to experience the serene beauty of the Mother Nature.
Downtown Placerville is home to the Government Offices of El Dorado County. The historic town sits between Interstate 80 and Highway 49. Way back in the late nineteenth century, the quaint place was renowned as one of the many Californian gold rush towns. Pollock Pines and Shingle Springs are just two of the most spectacular cities nearby and residents are but a stone’s throw from the Amador County Wineries. Prospective house buyers are drawn to the area; hence demand can outstrip supply of houses for sale in Placerville California.

It’s an outstanding manor with beautiful grounds which bears a 250 years old Oak tree along with many different kinds of exotic plants. The tour through all the rooms, 14 in total didn’t take very long. The land and the house bears the history of three consecutive generations. One third of the house is organized with furniture from the Maney family and the rest is from that time period. We started at the chamber of Dr. James Maney who built the house after his wife, Sally Hardy Murfree inherited the land from her father Colonel Murfree, after whom the city of Murfreesboro was named. We then moved to the parlor of the house. It had 2 parlors, one being the dining space and the other being an entertainment room for special guests. The latter was an addition by Lewis and Adaline Maney, who resided in the house after Sally died in 1857 and later inherited the house from Dr. Maney. Adaline was the daughter of former Tennessee governor Newton Cannon. She was already accustomed to

We continued our along the coast, passed volcanic, mountainous terrain, lush vineyards, olive groves and lemon orchards typical of the Italian countryside. Charming villages among illustrious villas of distinction, ancient churches and the remains of medieval castles spilled down the hillsides and scattered among them, ruins of magnificent Saracen towers still stood watch for invaders. When we neared Positano and Ristorante il San Pietro where we celebrated our fifteenth wedding anniversary a few years ago, Vince directed our course to a shining white village on a distant shore.
