This paper tries to analyze race relations, ethnicity and how art and film relates to these social issues in their cultural context. Art and film have played vital roles in advocating for a society free of ethnicity and racism. Using vivid descriptions and evidence of both text and a movie this paper seeks to relate accordingly the concerned issues and factors affecting these social vices. It will demonstrate race and ethnic tendencies in diverse cultural contexts.

The colonial state activated heightened and enlarged ethnicity in a variety of ways. They brought about a diverse wider group of interaction into competition, the colonies and the administrative union started localizing administration. They started strengthening and enlarging ethnic allegiances which increased ethnic tensions. In addition, they actively promoted preferential treatment of ethnic groups as a matter of policy by establishing systems of collaboration.
Social Darwinism is a socialist theory that tries to understand the reason behind colonization and other social vices like ethnicity. It was used to justify numerous exploits which we classify as dubious moral values today. For instance doctors were responsible for assisting to die. Social Darwinism states that people especially colonizers failed to justify the reason why they forcefully seized land and resources from weaker natives. This is also illustrated in the military affairs where the strongest military will win. The application of social Darwinism has since provided the justification for more exploitative forms of social capitalism where workers are usually paid less and yet they have worked for many hours.
It also tries to explain the reasoning behind slavery and colonization. However, not all social Darwinism is negative. There are positive results of social Darwinism.
