In “Confetti Girl” by Diana Lopez and “Tortilla Sun” by Jennifer Cervantes are about two different points of views from the kids and parents, causing tension. “Confetti Girl” is about a girl who disagrees with her dad about her school work. She wants to play and focus on soccer, but her dad wants her to focus on her schoolwork. In “Tortilla Sun” is also about a girl who disagree with a parent. Her mother is going away to Costa Rica to finish her studies and she has to send her daughter to live with her grandmother she barely knows in New Mexico. In these two stories the children are disagreeing with their parents’ better judgments. I believe that what caused the tension is that the parents and kids aren’t agreeing on the same thing so it causes tension.

Rachel Botsman’s theory of collaborative consumption is made up of different systems that interact within the different social systems of social work individually and simultaneously. The idea of collaborative consumption is a way for individuals to swap, barter, rent, and purchase items from the convenience of their home or while on the go (2010). From a micro system, Botsman is referring to the individuals who are actively participating in collaborative consumption. By bringing individuals together on a micro level in order to share resources, Botsman’s theory demonstrates how people can work together. According to Krampe, the purpose of having wealth is to use it enhance the lives of the people you care about. Leaving a mark that represents your passion and values is what truly makes you happy. Furthermore, Krampe tells us that there are several ways on how to find happiness. First, you need to reflect on what you enjoy most about your life. Chobosky does a remarkable job at describing all of these issues through the eyes of a shy, introvert teen. Many people say that you must have plenty in common with someone in order to be their best friend. However, in the novel Finnie Walsh by Steven Galloway, this is not the case. Finnie and Paul have a few things in common, such as their passion for hockey, but they were (for the most part) complete opposites. Paul's family has a struggle with money throughout the duration of the novel, while Finnie's family is quite wealthy. After Mr.Woodward's accident, Finnie is struggling to escape the guilt; meanwhile, Paul is able to let it go. In the article UBC faces new rights complaint over handling of sex-assault report by the Globe and Mail, it is explained that in January 2013, Stephanie Hale was sexually assaulted by a fellow student at the University of British Columbia. When filing a complaint to B.C.’s Human Rights Tribunal against the alleged attacker, they took little action in resolving the case, which in turn took Hale’s health and education for the worst. Hale believes there to be a better method in responding to reports like these and has continued to try persuade to the university to change its policies through the aid of lawyers and having trials, but to no avail. However, many are filing complaints to universities and are attempting to change their policies.
