Colors The streets filled with noise. The streets filled with lights. The street was alive, but with what; with anger, sadness, joy, or maybe colors, colors that clashed, contrasted, but the street was alive. Filled colors, filled with lights... fueled by anger. Race. Only four letters, r-a-c-e, but it affects billions of people. It affects all, no matter what race, no matter what you look like, no matter where you are, racism is always going to be around. It will never be forgotten, nor stomped out completely, because one head comes off, two more will take its place. But why? Maybe it’s a race, one to see who is the best. The first one to reach the top wins, and is superior. Race. only four letters but has caused physical harm to many. Maybe in the race to be superior, they did whatever it took, even take out the opposition. And race they did, straight into a group of civilians. August 17th, 2017, in Charlottesville, Virginia, a man by the name of James Alex Fields, had hit a group of innocent protesters who were against a group of racists. Although this event is one of an unfortunate many, unless an act of physical harm occurs, it may be drowned out by political controversies. Although now, political figures are standing up to this problem, speaking out and putting their job on the line, but not only political figures, but also celebrities and sports stars.
