In fact, Mr. Sanders hopes to find a way to expand the funding (Fighting For Women’s Rights). On the other hand, Mr. Trump, and Mr. Cruz wish to end the Planned Parenthood funding. Donald Trump has expressed some mixed thoughts regarding the funding and abortion. Mr. Trump believes that Planned Parenthood has done “very good work for millions of women," (Krieg). However, Mr. Trump has also said, “But Planned Parenthood should absolutely be defunded. I mean if you look at what’s going on with that, it’s terrible” (Donald Trump: “Planned Parenthood Should Absolutely Be De-Funded”). Quite frankly, I think Mr. Trump is confused. It is clear that he wishes to defund Planned Parenthood due to the abortion service provided even though he recognized the majority of work Planned Parenthood does for millions of women (Krieg). Jill Stein has not publicly commented on Planned Parenthood’s government funding; however, she did comment on the organization’s decision to endorse Mrs. Clinton (Sheer). Planned Parenthood has personally influenced my life. I work in the education branch of Planned Parenthood as a high school sexual health peer educator. It is and always should be a woman’s right what she wants to do with her body. The article I chose was originally about the protests at University of Missouri but it called into question President Obama’s view on abortion, which I agree with. I am pro-choice when it comes to abortion because there is no 100% effective contraception, sex should not bear the responsibility of a pregnancy, and because rape if often exempt but an unplanned pregnancy isn’t.

I am a firm believer that who ever decides to run for president should be an american first and then be a religious person in their day to day life. I find it terrifying that some of Ted Cruz supporters are saying these cruel and horrendous things and he seems it be going right along with it. I have to admit that Ted Cruz would make a much better candidate than Donald Trump however, based on what I just read I am slowly beginning to doubt that. I will never understand what drives certain individuals to want to control individual who are just a bit different from the majority. I believe that regardless of what any one is and especially if they are a presidential candidate, should be a humanitarian and advocate fairness for all and go against those who want to hurt others.
