One day me my mom and dad and sister we were driving to my aunt and uncle's house. It was about 3:00 and me and my cousins we were playing football. And my mom and my auntie they were making dinner. And my dad and uncle were watching a baseball game. And then it was time to eat.
Kansas is widely known for its vast open plains and big, dramatic sunsets that captivate people’s attention for tens of thousands of miles. Kansas is also known for its great variability in temperatures throughout its seasons. There are a fair amount of rain, snow and wind throughout the state, corresponding to the seasons but the continental climate occasionally produces varying temperature changes (Travelks).
I walked outside the next morning feeling great. The bright vibrant sun shone on the freshly mowed grass. I loaded into my sister's car and we went off to school. The day passed extremely rapid,
Walking outside that morning I can remember how sunny and cool the outside temperature was and how there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The summer breeze blowing through long awkward hair. It was the perfect summer day. She and I went to the park to see what we could do there. There was nobody around at the park when we arrived. My cousin had brought
There’s more to weather than just cloudy days. The sun can be used to describe a sort of happiness given off by a character. It can be used to show a positive take on an altered path. You can say that the day went from
On Monday November 28, 2016, Leake County, Mississippi and other counties were struck with bad weather that lasted several days. This storm included outrageous winds, heavy rain, and a tornado that rolled its way through Walnut Grove, Mississippi Tuesday afternoon. As the storm passed through Leake County, there was very little property damage across the county. The Leake County Communications center had received less than 100 calls within the time the storm was in process. Those calls had been reports of trees being blown down, wood fires, a case of domestic violence, and other crime like activities. There were a number of three wood fires that took place right outside of Edinburg, Mississippi. Officials say that if the rain did not get to
It was a hot summer and humid day at Oak Park mall we were all sitting on a hard and rough concrete curb as lots of people were walking with their flippety and floppety flip flops and talking.I could sense all the good restruants that people were eating food at.I was holding all the plasticy sacks they felt like they were about to break my fingers because they were so heavy.I could see all the people standing and waiting till we were done.
The sun was harshly burnt my face. I was at my uncle’s house that summer day just to hang out because he had some cool “toys” he wanted to show us. Anyway, there we were, me, my dad, and my brothers Aidan and Austin.
It was the summer before sixth grade, I was ten years old. It was late at night, around 11 o’clock, when we were leaving our friends’ rented camp. The sky was black, no stars, no moon. We didn't have to go very far, just down the lake where our camp was.
After walking the whole morning in the streets filled with joy and children pulling on their parent’s arms to walk faster, my parents insisted to sit down on the Animal Kingdom Park bench to rest for a bit. As my parents talked about what we could do next my sister and I waited impatiently with our heads down trying to hide from the scorching sun. My favorite Minnie Mouse cap did me no use because I remember squinting my eyes to the point where they were basically closed. Although it was about 80/90 degrees Fahrenheit outside, my mom had forced my sister and me to wear a long sleeve due to our white pale skin that with just 15 minutes of being in the sun would transform to a bright red.
Although I was so into leaving the house I did not go too far. No not because I was six, but because where I lived was perfect for me. See I live and a block of about seven houses on each side and we are the second from the street corner and right at the corner I would turn around and go down the other side of the streat. About half way through the neighbor 's street was a sewer creat and I found joy making little and big turns around it, about halfway in my little oval was our driveway. So really I was going about ten yards away from my house. But that was perfect for me, and that day was perfect. It was latter in the evening towards the end of summer so it was nice and warm out but not cold. The sun was just under the hills but not to far. When it is like that it seems to stay like that for a long time but that was great because it gave the sky a peaceful glow that seemed to fulfill the clear blue sky, the sky seemed to feel joyful when it is like this. How the light glowed through the trees it was as if the shadows were dancing with the light. the breeze was soft but nice pushing me and cooling me off. The time, the place, the view everything was perfect then when I was almost to where I would pass the drive way I lost my balance for a moment and fell over. I landed in a weird, trapped position.
Back in the day, when I remember of me being a child and it was one of the best moment I could think of my childhood that happened in the summer, where good time start it and not too far off that it sound it like that we played in the water and we figured since it is a bit hot outside i was going to six flags and having some fun with our family and friend having an enjoyable time. Few things I would say about my childhood was also the summer time, when the sun was hitting my body my mom used to worry about me a lot so I would not get dark so she would tell me to put sunscreen on all the time even on my face and in front of my friends but back when I was little I did not get what or why she was saying that but now I get it on why. Sometime when I didn’t wear the slippers my feet would burn like I was walking in a fried pan but I were to just walk in grass with my wet feet and then a few seconds later same thing happens again so it was not point of walking in the grass but I still walked. I closed my eyes one time because my mom used to surprise me with friends coming over, going to swimming and having a picnic and playing with the park dogs, it would be so much fun but we had this curfew time to get back home and the only annoying thing was the bugs and bees around us that were biting out skins off and making us scratch and the dirt we use in or the mud that we use to make sand castles out of at the beach. I tried to look up and see if I would be getting some shade anytime
It was a type of day where the sky didn't match the climate. The sky was bright blue like a silk blue dress without the presence of a cloud within sight. The nearly bare trees shook only slightly, like a lonely park swing, with every reoccuring gust that passed through them. The wind was crisp, yet possessed a sharp unforgiving bitter cold covering me such as a plastic wrap, chilling me wherever possible nearly to the bone. I took little hops down the old concrete steps to where they were little less than my height. Then whilst holding the comforting and seemingly everlasting hand of my mother, I proceeded with her to the car and we drove off.
A flash flood is a rapid flooding of geomorphic low-lying areas - washes, rivers, dry lakes and basins. It may be caused by heavy rain associated with a storm, hurricane, or tropical storm or melt water from ice or snow flowing over ice sheets or snowfields. Flash floods can also occur after the collapse of a natural ice or debris dam, or a human structure such as a man-made dam, as occurred before the Johnstown Flood of 1889. Flash floods are distinguished from a regular flood by a timescale less than six hours. The temporary availability of water is often utilized by plants with rapid germination and short growth cycle, and by specially adapted animal life.
