There are always two options when it comes to choosing a side. In Lord of The Flies by William Golding, two boys named Ralph and Jack crash land on an island with many other boys around the ages of five through twelve. Jack is impulsive and violent while Ralph is level headed and organized. Ralph being one of the first on the island felt he should be the leader of the group. Jack already the leader of his group felt it was his job to lead all of them. This leads to a major conflict among the group of boys. Jack had his followers and Ralph had his causing a division on the island. Based on the actions and determination of Ralph led to the group being rescued; making him the better choice as a leader.
