Rape crimes will not get reported seventy five percent of the time, due to some victims being too afraid to speak up. There is a problem in society; big issues like these need to be stopped. Rape is not just being touched or molested without wanting it, it is actually really more than it may appear. Rape can happen to anybody, anywhere, and at any time. The number of victims is shocking. Most rape victims know their rapist. There’s organizations reaching out to support rape victims. They suffer highly traumatic experience. In the 18th and 19th century, laws were being passed to help women bring their offenders to justice. Some say there had to be proof of semen, or that the hymen had to be broken for proof. All these effects usually happen when victims survive rape assaults. Survivors experience shock, feeling cold becoming mentally confused , trying to remember what happened. Sometimes they happen to end up pregnant, this leads to women aborting or rising the kid that was never wanted. A child should never be forced to come into a world where they will feel unwanted. The effects are always worse when the victims repeatedly been raped by someone they are familiar with , and keep being blamed for the incident. Rape victims ,who had high self esteem, have trouble dealing with the effects that their offenders left broken in them. Many will believe that the aftermath left in rape victims will pass but in reality they just learn how to be strong enough to live on with life like before. The maximum of the recovery can be from up to three months to three or four years ,maybe even longer. The average of rapist is thirty-one years old. Two out of three sexual assaults is by someone known to the victim. Incidents will not be reported depending on relationships between the female victims and offenders. Fifty-five percent of victims use physician/therapy services. The emotional toll left in victims may be one that they will not have to pay on their own. Most victims are usually mixed races including either men and women. Raped is liked to poverty.
