Elizabeth Cooper MGT-106 Ball May 20, 2010 Self-Assessment Reaction Paper Summary It is not easy to describe yourself and to be truly honest. The way you think of yourself and how another person might think of you could be completely different. This class has helped me to understand myself better and accurately describe me. If I had to describe myself, I would say that I am very laid back and easy going. I do not let small things bother me. I feel you should “pick your battles” sort of speak. I think I take after my mom. Growing up I never saw her really angry at anyone. She always gets a long with everyone and I think she rubbed off on me. I am also friendly and caring. I am always concerned with how people feel and how I can …show more content…
I have learned a lot about myself that I was unaware of. (1)The results of The Locus of Control self-assessment exercise in chapter 2 really shocked me. I scored a twenty on the assessment, which meant that I believe that I am in control of my own destiny. Also, that I think very little is controlled by fate, chance, and other people. This shocked me because I thought I would have scored more in the middle because I do believe in fate and chance. I think that things happen for a reason but it is up to us to do something about it. (2)The Big Five Personality exercise from chapter 2 also opened my eyes. My weakest dimension was surgency. According to these results, I am a follower and do not like to compete or influence. I on the other hand would not consider myself to be a follower. Although I do not like to lead, I do what I want to do. My strongest dimension was aggreeableness, which includes traits related to getting along with people. (3)In chapter 13 the self-assessment exercise was Your Decision Making Style. I scored a twenty on the exercise and the results showed that I have a consistent style. When I make a decision I always think about the decision and consider all alternatives before I make a decision. (4)The Networking Skill Self-Assessment exercise in chapter 11 really helped me learn just how important knowing people can help me in starting and
The Narcotics Anonymous meeting which I attended was named 7 Days of NA which was located on 1212 North Wolfe Street at an organization called Dee’s Place. Just as the Alcoholic Anonymous meeting previously attended, the location appeared to be in a covert and quiet place to hold a support group. We entered through the rear entrance, which seemed to be staged that way to secure participants identity. As before at the last support group I attended, I searched around the room to see again, a 12 steps guide posted on the wall, a relatively thick NA ‘Basic Text’ textbook on the desk of the facilitator and this
I would describe my personality as diligent, fun loving, and adaptive. I enjoy spending time with my friends and my sorority, yet I have taken on a position within that sorority that requires me to be on top of nearly all details taking place. I enjoy working hard to make sure everyone else has a smooth-running sorority experience. I like to go with the flow and enjoy like as it comes!
As a mobile notary, I process a large amount of paperwork and daily print loan packets consisting of 75 to 150 pages per set. I need a machine that is quick and reliable. The HP 1320 tn comes to the rescue.

My personality is defined as “Guardian” which fits my personality perfectly. Guardians are practical and down-to-earth, but they know how to have funs with their friends. They take their duties seriously, are hard workers and are dependable and trustworthy. They are most comfortable when life is structured (Keirsey, n.d.). I am a loyal friend who like to have fun, but follow the rules. My friends have said I am their “voice of reason”. I enjoy socializing with my close group of friends, but I am cautious when meeting new people. I enjoy watching sports, probably because there are defined sets of rule which allow for a fair turn for each team. I do not like when plans change suddenly. I am a planner and when things change I have to alter my plans.
Throughout highschool I have grown as a person. Three words I would use to describe myself as would be friendly, caring, and positive. My mom has always taught me to include everyone in everything. This is the main reason why I am so friendly. Whenever I see someone sitting alone at lunch, or even walking to class alone, I am the type of person to go up to them and talk to them to make sure they know they are always welcomed to join me. Two things I try to accomplish everyday are telling everyone good morning and giving everyone at least one complement. I love doing this because you never know when someone can be having a bad day and the one compliment you give them can change their whole day around. I would also say
Everyday I demonstrate all 5 parts of character. I believe that everyone should be a leader and do what they believe in and not let anybody stop them from striving and doing good things. I always put others needs before mine and will help anybody or anything. I always turn things in on time and do my work. I don’t believe in last minute work, so I try to finish all my schoolwork as soon as I possibly can.

I am a sister, daughter, friend, girlfriend, niece, and cousin. I am my own person. I carry myself with pose and sophistication. I am a person, who makes many mistakes, and learn from them and not make them twice. Like every other person I smile, cry, laugh, and loves. I am an emotional person who cries whenever I need to and is not embarrassed to express myself in that manner. I need hugs and kisses from my loved ones and I give them back with no hesitation. I am who I am through my sorrow, pain, loses, gains, and heartbreaks. I am that person who tries to pick you up when your down, laugh when you want to cry, and is there when you want to talk. I have a great shoulder for people to lean on .I listens and will shut up until you are
Keloidal scars are over active tissues that heal over the place of a skin injury. They usually appear as lumps over scar tissue, this can occur after the healing of skin injuries or scars. Keloids expand in outward growths over your skin, they have a needle-like pain or to itch to them, although the degree of pain varies from each person (Wiki). If a keloid becomes infected they can develop sores on the skin where the injury had accrued. Though they occur at the site of an injury, they can also randomly rise up in places. They can also appear due to a piercing, pimple or scratch along the skin. As well as a result of severe acne or chickenpox scarring, repeated trauma, excessive skin tension during wound closure or a foreign body in a wound,
No one is born a parent; no one really is a perfect parent. Dibs: In Search of Self is a perfect example of this as both parents had no idea how to raise a child in a loving, compassionate home. Dibs’ mother stated from the get go that the boy seemed to have it out for her and he was responsible for ruining her and her marriage. The father was completely wrapped up in his work and studies and made sure he’d made no time for his children. Additionally, his children had been instructed to stay out of his room while he was home. Once Dibs’ sister is born, he is again pushed further away as their mother spoils the little girl. Eventually, however even the sister is sent away to a boarding school.
I highly value integrity; I am honest, trustworthy, dependable, responsible, and faithful. I do not complain or argue with others, but rather I sit down and listen to their concerns. I am extremely polite and treat everyone I meet with the highest degree of courtesy and respect. I am a hard worker and I always put forth my best effort. I stay away from bad influences and choose my close friends carefully. I am a stickler for rules and have never once gotten into trouble at school or with the law. I treat others with the utmost respect because the Bible clearly states to “do to others as you would have them do unto you.” My morals and ethics are directly in line with the teachings of scripture, so I look down upon academic dishonesty, taking part in dangerous activities such as drugs and alcohol, and disrespecting others. I strongly believe in perseverance and never giving up, no matter how hopeless the situation may seem, and in never losing faith in your family, your friends, and, most importantly, God because you can always rely on them in the darkest of times to restore your
The Feiner Points of Leadership is one of the interesting and application oriented books I have read. I would recommend the book to my friends and colleagues who aspire to be a good leader. This book should be read by all the leaders and managers to be successful. It exemplifies some of the important skills manager or leader should practice at the same time it explains the mistakes one should avoid being a successful and effective leader. Michael Feiner’s experience in PepsiCo, given examples and instances in his tenure makes it easier to understand the facts in detail. These examples also helps retain all the points and laws explained in the book.
Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that studies the relationship between the sides and the angles of a triangle. The word trigonometry was derived from the Greek word trigonon which means triangle and metron for the word measure. While the other branch of mathematics, geometry which means earth and measurement, is concerned with the properties of space and figures.
When asked to describe myself I never know what to say, but I should know myself the best, right?
