According to Hart (1999), Wilson (2001), and Backus and Chapian (2000) to change the way one thinks it is necessary to effect change in one’s live because thoughts influence how events and other people are perceived. Everyone has different influences in their lives, from families to beliefs to economic situations; therefore, each person is a distinct and unique individual.

I enjoyed reading this quote, for a short line it definitely speaks volume. In my opinion, this passage means that as educators we have a responsibility to introduce all students to a variety of literacy that not only teaches them concepts but also introduce them to different cultures and background. Through literacy, we can teach our students how to value everyone’s thoughts and perspective. While also teaching students how to be empathetic towards other cultures and background. By introducing literacy to students, educators can encourage them to look beyond what they are accustomed to and introduce them to other things that are going on outside from what they're used to. Conflict tests the capability of individuals, without encounters of conflict we truly would not know the inner strengths of individuals and what each can aspire to achieve. Conflict helps each one of us grow as a person as we learn further about ourselves, however sometimes conflict can expose negatives in people. When I first entered this class I was not expecting this class to be fun at all. Just graduating from high school and being told that college would be a lot harder than high school, I was expecting the full college experience, in which this class would be boring and full of college work. This class managed to help me see that reading/English class does not always have to be boring and full of essays written about boring books that no one actually read. I have always loved reading and this class just helped me learn how to help others love it too. From the survey I took at the beginning of this year I have not really changed at all, but the way I view things and how I will execute things has changed.
This week’s reading assignment opened my eyes about physical education and how I need to readjust my thought process on what the purpose and the importance of physical education is to our students. I realized that in order to become an effective teacher I need to become well versed and model physical literacy. According to Shape America (2015), physical literacy can be defined as an individual who has the skills necessary to participate in a variety of physical activities, that knows the implications and the benefits of involvement in different physical activities, participates in regular physical activity, is physically active, and values physical activity and its contributions to a healthful lifestyle (Society of Health and Physical Educators
Who needs literature? Why is reading and writing crucial to everyone's life? Can someone potentially become top CEO without the best critical thinking skills? The truth is they cannot. Literature is the foundation of knowledge for everyone and everything. It is more than just words; it is what we need to succeed in life.
“ Changes in the personality of an individual due to the course of time and circumstances”
To understand the many different theories of personality you must understand that personalities are unique. Everyone has different experiences, parents, and lives. These differences cause all people to view the world differently than the person next to them. There are various thoughts of how and when personalities develop and grow. Carl Rogers and George Kelly are two theorists who have influenced the understanding of the nature and development of personality (Pervin, 1989).
Have you ever sat down and wondered how you became the person you are today? Or maybe, sat down and thought about who you actually grown to be? If you are like me than most likely your answer to these questions would be no, and that’s fine. Psychology plays a major role in the way we are brought up and who we are today. Believe it or not, the way we are taught and the way we are are today deals with the way our brain has grown and developed throughout our years on this earth. During psychology class, I learned about many different theories that different people came up with to clarify how we act today. In this paper i’m going to use my knowledge of learning, development, stress and health, and personality theories and integrate them with my life.
