Wait for a clear night, go out to the street, relax, take a deep breath, and finally look up to the sky. Marvel at the stars, while the immense vastness of the unknown cosmos crushes your soul. Now ask yourself:
What am I doing here?
Can't get enough of this fact check, can you? Now you truly understand what it means to be alive, and realize how the time to enjoy your sentient privilege is limited. Now do you want to continue living under a rock? Of course not. What you want is to prove your real value and make a positive impact in the world. And the best way you can make the most of your life is being in charge of your fate. Incidentally, making a difference is not the Herculean task it seems:
You don't have to be rich;
You don't have to be a leader;
You don't have to be an influencer;
You don't have to be incredibly courage;

New processes and patterns build on top of previous ones, and what was once true in the past may transfigure into something else in the future. If you are mindful of this, you should quickly realize that your potential to make a difference is palpably real because you truly are a unique phenomenon of life, and everything you do and experience during your lifetime will never happen again. So, in a way, you are already making a tiny difference just by being alive.
But the real difference is made when you leave the world under the rock, and leap into the bright sea of infinite possibilities surrounding you. All it takes to do this is to capitalize on being at the right place at the right time. The opportunity is available to everyone, but what prevents most people from making the leap is simply not trying or giving up. Not believing. There's no greater mover than belief.
What legitimate reasons does anyone have to give up?
The stars are bright and radiant-- their numbers are vast beyond all imagination. They shine in the dark sky, like billions of little lights hanging from nonexistent threads. It is a reality that not many people stop to admire. In the city people sink down into their couches at night and drift away, eventually, to the slumber that most people crave. But the stars, shining endlessly, are there night after night, in the rain and even in the snow. If you just stop for a moment, on a night with no clouds, and look up, you will see this magnificent

The most powerful individuals or groups of individuals determine the rights and truths of a society. This sounds a bit discouraging to the powerless
Persuasive speech outline purpose: To persuade my audience to donate blood through the American Red Cross. Introduction:
C. As long as schooling increases the marginal return to work more than crime and schooling does not decrease patience levels or increase risk aversion.
Two of our fellow seniors, Curtis Robinson and Sumayyah Singletary, have taken the initiative to plan an unofficial class trip. The following is a message from them:
Have you served in a war? Has your father or mother served in a war? How about your grandpa? As we honor those who have served we typically do so by standing for the pledge of allegiance or star spangled banner. We say thank you to our war heroes or we go and visit them and listen to their stories. In this paper I will be discussing why NFL players should not be allowed to kneel for the flag. Although the NFL players have the right to peacefully protest, they should find a different way than kneeling as it shows disrespect towards the flag also active duty military and veterans, it teaches young children this behavior is okay, what they are protesting has nothing to do with the flag and there are many different ways to get their message out.
I just want to thank you for what you have accomplished for the California School District these past years. I do have one concern though, and I am sure you have looked into it before, but I would like you to reconsider the situation. In past years, many students have wondered why we do not have a soccer team. Having a soccer team would open up so many different paths in the high school for students, staff, and even the community.
I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.
For example, using a leftover coffee can for loose nails or screws, or even washing and reusing a plastic zip-loc bag instead of throwing it in the garbage. Thrift shopping is a way of reusing someone else’s unwanted goods. As I spoke about in an earlier speech about thrifting, I included many locations and ways to thrift, also the benefits to the shopper and the donator. One place in particular was shopping at the local boys and girls club. I personally shop there, keeping my eyes open for a good deal. For example, the pair of jeans that I am wearing today was purchased from this store just a few months ago. I paid only $8.00 for this pair of Lucky Jeans and according to buckle.com, a retailer for lucky jeans the retail price is $99.00 that is a savings to me of $91.00.I am not the type to worry about name brands, but quality usually does cost more. If I can get a quality pair of jeans at a fraction on the price, I am glad to shop at the thrift store. I am thankful to the person that made the donation of the lucky jeans and they can benefit from that donation. According to the IRS webpage, IRS. Gov it explains that an individual can donate items like clothing, household furniture and furnishings, a car or boat, even taxidermy. The donations are appraised, by the donator, and recorded. At the time of filing taxes if the donation equals at least $500 for the year, the donator may take advantage of the
1. Why is this topic important to them? The topic is important to my audience because it may help them see the death penalty in a different light.
An American literary theorist and novelist, Kenneth Burke, once said, “Wherever there is persuasion, there is rhetoric, and wherever there is rhetoric, there is meaning.” (Burke) Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr. and Fannie Lou Hamer all delivered powerful persuasive speeches that will go down in history. The use of these motivational individuals’ language and persuasion played a pivotal role within the civil rights movement, the movement that achieved the most important breakthrough in the equal rights legislation. We can observe this in the speakers’ rhetoric devices like ethos, logos and pathos.

The short speech written by William Safire is very effective in achieving its purpose. This article in not insipid, it captures the audience and allows them to feel the emotions of the people.“Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin...know that there is hope for mankind in their sacrifice.” Safire mentions the sacrifice those two men made and honors them for what they did for mankind. Not only are they credited for their accomplishments, but also honored and mourned. “...these men were the first[on the moon], and they will remain the foremost in our hearts.” These two astronauts started the space missions and they will forever be remembered for the world they opened. This speech is very effective in honoring, mourning, and congratulating the two astronauts who changed history.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, for your safety and comfort, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened until the Captain turns off the Fasten Seat Belt sign.”
