The majority of students that enroll into college make the decisions that attending college is better after graduating; they can work in their career field at a younger age, and have a successful future. Most of the students enrolling in college obey their parents’ wishes; all parents want their kids to attend college to get a better education for themselves. Especially, in a society we live in, many jobs require some sort of college degree. Time is money, and the more time you waste, the more money you have to dish out to engage academic pursuit.

On the other hand, there are plenty of reasons that cause students to go to college is to end up financially stable. Going to college almost guarantees you a decent paying job after you graduate. Another reason that causes high school graduate students to go to college is to get a new change of scenery.

I come from a low-income family with a household of eight people. I have my dad, my six siblings, and my mother passed away a few years ago. As a first-generation college student I felt so many emotions. I came from a high school that didn’t prepare me for college courses and that became a problem.
