Rebecca Long Says The Difference Between A Righteous Person And A Good Person

Rebecca Long, a Christian philanthropist writes that a righteous person is morally correct while a good person is a liberal and unselfish.

Although no one is perfect there is a distinct difference between a righteous person and a good person. Rebecca long writes that a righteous person is being right for God, while a good man is being right with humanity.

"Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die" (Romans 5:7). A man can be defined as righteous if he is morally correct and have perfect obedience of the laws God demands and faith, a man who is distinguished simply for honesty and sincerity of conduct, one who has no remarkable claims for amiability of character or for kindness. As much as this person is admired and respected, he has no characteristics which anyone would accurately die for. By 'a good man', it signifies a man whose attributes kindness, friendliness, tenderness. God promised to give Abraham a son and that he would be the father of many, despite the fact that he was 99 years old and his wife Sarah was 90, way past the normal age to have children.
