Receiving My Scholarship

If I am award the funds I plan on using it to help pay for the textbooks I need in different courses. Textbooks can be very expensive, and I have spent on average $900 dollars this year on textbooks. If awarded this scholarship some of the financial strain that I will encompass this semester will be removed. It will allow some helps to not only myself a full time student who works part time to help pay for things like rent, transportation and other incidentals but also my parents who are apart of the working class and while supporting me through college paying for everything; books, rent, tuition, transportations, incidentals, also have my three siblings who are all high school and middle school aged. Money is sadly one of the things that makes the world go round. With it books are bought and an education is paid for. This scholarship award would help pay for a tuition that I have been working hard for. I have had a job for just over a year and have been working thirty hour weeks in order to save up for college. In my family I am expected to pay for my tuition because it is my education. I have been striving to save up because education is one of my top priorities. This award will allow me to spend some of my earnings elsewhere. My financial burden will be lifted slightly and I will be able to relax and enjoy the rest of my senior year.

Upon asking how this scholarship will benefit me, I will tell you it will help me a lot because my mom has been working herself to death keeping up with two jobs just to help me get everything I need for high school and get me prepared for my future. On top of all that she helps raise her boyfriend's three kids and treats them like her own. As you can see, this will benefit me a lot by helping with the cost of the tuition for helping me achieve my goals to get into a nice cosmetology school.

With this scholarship my rate in succeeding would increase tremendously by reducing stressed of how I am going to pay for college. I currently work for Lowes full-time in which it is about 40 hours a week. This scholarship would allow me to devote more of my time to studying and ULL activity that would be very benefited to my post-secondary schooling.

Being a scholarship recipient would be fantastic, it would allow me to finish my degree without a heavy loan debt. Receiving a scholarship will impact my career gravely, not only will this help me to continue my studies, but it will also help me in my studies, so that I may not stay focused on the money aspect of things. While being in college the thing to stress about the most should have to be studying and staying on track with your assignments, but money plays a huge part in a college students life. I want to work on becoming a teacher. Specifically a spanish teacher, so that I can teach others about the Spanish Language and it’s culture. This scholarship would help in that I would be able to pay for books and my finally have my very first laptop. I could also get notebooks and new glasses. It would also allow me the chance of achieving my dream which is studying Spanish abroad in Spain. This scholarship would help pay for all of these things.
