Melissa McCormick Speech Com 1 Anneka Rogers 9, April 2012 Recycling Topic: Recycling General Purpose: To Persuade Specific Purpose: To persuade my class to Recycle Intro: Imagine a whole forest being cut down just to store our garbage. This can be stopped if we recycle. Deforestation is a major issue today. This is because man is using natural resources to fulfill his needs. The increase of these demands has led to increasing levels of destruction of our natural resources. These resources being limited, a day would probably arrive when we don't really have anything to turn towards. Think about all the trees that are being axed in the forests today. Our habits of wasting paper could be one of the million reasons that contribute
recycling campaign. The only way to do that is to help make recycling appeal to more of the vast student population that currently attends our University. How might this be done? The University already places a recycling bin in every dorm room around the campus; anything more would exceed the current funding for the recycling project. Perhaps the institution of a recycling center at the Russell House could cause the impulse to become a habit. But, that would take too much money--with the salaries of workers and the annexing of what would amount to a new wing of the building--to consider for too long. Another solution could be to have the students elect a "recycling committee" to evaluate the problem and decide on the appropriate solution. However, I feel that with the current lull in our recycling campaign, even that would be ineffective. As an altrenative to these two solutions I propose that we, as students and faculty united, institute a plan that is so simple it is already in place in many of the high schools around the state. I propose a system of rewards.
The importance of recycling Recycling is presently one of the most controversial topics, considering that while most individuals put across their support regarding the act the number of individuals who actually do something in order to recycle is much smaller. Many people are currently unable or unwilling to recycle properly because the process often requires a series of changes in one's life. It is thus essential for the authorities to provide educational programs meant to assist individuals in understanding why recycling is important and in learning how to recycle effectively. People need to accept the fact that the benefits of recycling will reflect on the future and that conditions are currently critical as a result of the fact that the masses are generally unacquainted with the importance of this process.
To begin, one reason why we should conserve is because almost everywhere in Sioux City has trash somewhere. We could work together and make a program that will help clean up Sioux City. This makes us only a couple steps away from reaching our goals. Not only would it clean Sioux City but also it would teach parents/students the reason why it is important to recycle/conserve. I know that as of right now we have bins everywhere over Sioux City. However, I am noticing that many people do not use these recycling
I’m a determined person who believes there are no limits to the possibilities in our education. Since I was little, the challenge always passion me, and entering Nation Honor Society, has been a commitment over the past years in my school life. Joining NHS will give me the opportunity to continue
Have you ever walked around a school campus just minutes after the lunch break? Well if you have, you may have observed the absurd amount of wasted food spilling out of trash cans and scattered around the concrete floors. It makes you realize how much food we waste daily, and how preventable that is. With that, it is mandatory that Mills High School should be required to have composting and more recycling bins around campus, this would be beneficial to our planet and the upcoming generations.

Recycling Should Be Mandatory in the United States Recycling is the process of making new products from a product that has originally served its purpose. The process of recycling starts when used products are disposed in an appropriate, environmentally friendly way. Items made from materials such as paper, tin cans, aluminum cans, plastic water bottles, and glass, which people use in everyday life, can be separated from regular trash and put in an appropriate recycling bin. The United States now realizes the importance of recycling. However, many ignorant people still think separating recyclables requires too much work. Requiring mandatory recycling would prod these individuals into action. Lack of recycling leads to dramatic consequences such as polluting the environment and raising the number of landfills. Delay is critical; time plays a significant role in waste management. The sooner American communities recycle properly the better it will be for the environment and our surroundings. People need to become conscious and take responsibility as a society to protect the earth, keep it clean and beautiful, and preserve the natural resources. The United States can achieve this goal by implementing mandatory recycling.
Growing up in Catholic schools all my life I have always been told, “God created this earth now it’s our job to save it and keep it as beautiful as possible”, yet my High School did nothing to keep it beautiful like we were always told. We did not
I believe that this problem can be solved because they have been starting to involve students in recycling in the lunchroom and around their school. In General I believe that people will start to see that we need to do more recycling when all of our backyards become landfills.
As a reminder, all students have the opportunity to participate in recycling in each of your classrooms. Please encourage them to recycle.
Raise your voice not the trash level How will I help our environment? I will be partnering up with Karlie Ramirez, we have decided on the 21st of October to head up to Giant Rock, located in Lucerne Valley. Over the years mankind has polluted our air drastically, consequently we
Purpose The purpose of this proposal is to suggest research based around analyzing Moses Hall’s recycling program, study possible improvements, and write up a recommendation report.
The Need for Recycling This essay has problems with the format People Need to Recycle In the United Sates, where the population is inflated every year. The amount of space for landfills decreases every day. The need for recycling should not be asked, it should just be done out of habit. Everyone in America needs to recycle, to help the lamdfill problem, help the environment, and help produce new products from recycled goods. In America there is about two-hundred and eight tons of residential and commercial trash generated a year, 4.3 pounds per person a day (Prichard 1A). This is an overwhelming amount of trashed produced yearly. When people recycle this number can be drastically cut. But many people do not practice and use
These days, our earth has been filled by a lot of waste. There is a lot of garbage, plastic waste, and electronic waste. We always produce it and dump it when we need the new one. Our waste are piling up and continuously accumulating. Plastic waste is one of the biggest problems for us now. And our solution in this problem is recycling. In my opinion, recycling is a way to manage used items into new products. We can reduce, reuse, and recycling (3R) waste management (Peter, 2013). We can reduce our waste clothes with reuse it. There are some reasons why peoples recycle used or unwanted items, which are, prevent wasting unusable materials that still have usage after recycled, reduce the application of raw materials, reduce energy
