Not only is it important in today’s society, but it’s also an important tool for future generations. Everyone should look at recycling as their duty. When it comes to saving resources, around 45 percent of our waste comes from paper. By recycling paper we can potentially save thousands or even millions of trees and in turn cut down on the amount of waste products that goes into the environment. (2016), “By using recycled materials instead of pulling new natural resources, manufacturers can make the same products with less energy and expense.” Being that recycled materials is already refined, manufactures can saves when it comes to energy because manufacturing will be less energy intensive. Recycling has become well known for its ability to help save the environment, which include areas like energy conservation, resource conservation, reduction in air and water pollution, and reduction in greenhouse gas generation.
