I believe that a value is something that is important to an individual and the values that I believe in play a very important role in my life. My values are greatly influenced by my family. My values include family, health, being respectful and non-judgmental. I also value my daughter, my friends and being honest. I believe that a value is something that you should assign love and

Values are defined as the importance or preciousness of something. A long time ago, around the early 16 century the puritans came to the America they live with the Native Americans and had a set of values they both believed in and lived by. One may not expect to find many similarities between both of these groups, but there are many. The Native Americans were not very different than the Puritans. Native Americans valued many things like religion, family, and the concept of things being balanced. Specifically, they strongly appreciated their family. Puritans similar to the Native Americans, the Puritans were more civilized and valued family, life, religion.

Getting an education is extremely important in my family because it signifies hard work. No one in my immediate family has attended college yet and I would like to be the one that ends this cycle and graduates college. College is also important in my family because they believe that this will ensure that I will have a stable future and this is crucial to me.

Values mean different things to different people as they have differing beliefs and values. After this book was published, people’s values may have changed as they realized they have had the wrong values and priorities, and needed a change.

Values help people determine what is right and wrong. They provide our moral compass in life.

Education has always been an important foundation upon which my family encouraged the most. Not just the education pertaining to structured schooling, but the fundamentals in life that require you to interact in society and be a part of something bigger than yourself. They demonstrated how to commit to values such as responsibility, motivation, and consistency; and, how to be open-minded and passionate about the things you believe in. These things all required a sacrifice in various ways. They always stress how “sometimes you need to give up something to get ahead, or how sometimes sacrificing the familiar and what you expect from yourself to get the results that you are seeking in the long run.”

Values inform or influence choices and action across a wide range of role and context. Successful evolution in culture, systems and practices across a diverse needs base.

Values can be a person’s ideal way on how to behave in certain places or their principles, just like ethics, beliefs, or standards (Henslin). Values can vary in cultures or religions as well. For example, when it comes to the LGBT community, which is also known as the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, I believe that everyone deserves to be happy

Values relate to our personal principles, morals, and ideals—that is, what we consider to be important.Each person is unique, with their own personal values and beliefs shaped by a number of factors that include culture, religion, and personal experiences.We value each person as an individual, respect their aspirations and commitments in life, and seek to understand their priorities, needs, abilities and limits.

Over the course of my life my values have changed based on circumstance. Currently if I had to list out my top five values in descending order they would be: religion, family, education, country, and culture. I value religion first and foremost because of my beliefs system that has been instilled in me since I was a child. " If you place God first in your life, then everything else will work itself out", is something my Grandfather has always told me. Family is something that doesn 't necessarily come first, but is a very high value to me. I identify as being a very caring father and husband, the protector, and head of my household. My family has always been supportive of my decisions. They have influenced me to always give my best at everything and to persevere when I fail. Education is the new value that has began to take a precedence in my life. Education is the bridge to success that I am striving to succeed at. Without education I cannot properly attend to my family 's needs. The time demand of education also puts it very high on my values list because it warrants the majority of my attention.

“Another part of the transformation was a shift in values.” (Coontz 46) The traditional definition of family values is “values held to be traditionally held or reinforced within a family, such as those of high moral standards and discipline”. Considering there are many types of families in the world (nuclear, blended, single parenting, etc.), there are also many different types of values made by families throughout the years. What we as people value is personal and we have the ability to do as we wish, but I have come to find that between my family and my friends’ families, the variety of values taught is a lot.

Values are the fundamental beliefs of a person, and they help guide us in making decisions and how we live our lives. Values are a part of our everyday life and in the workplace. In the workplace, these are the guiding principles that help to define how the corporation would behave. In this essay, the author will identify personal core values and discuss how we acquire and change values throughout life. Our values come from our life experiences. Things we went through in childhood and the teenage years are what made us the people we are today. There are three stages of value formation, which are imprinting, modeling and socializing. In the early stages of childhood (years 1-7), children do a lot of observation of the world around them and imprinting occurs. Through observations, the children define what is normal in their world. For example, not eating certain foods like meat or pork, and not saying grace before dinner, or the family sharing one big bed. Modeling is one of the most critical stages of value formation. From the ages of 7 to 13, independent thinking occurs. Children begin to form the own style of dress, hair, friends, or activities. In the earlier stages being an individual, different is more acceptable to them than it is in the later pre-teen years. Socializing takes place between the ages of 14-20.
