Senior Project Reflection My project was to showcase my abilities in makeup and sfx makeup. I practiced individual cuts and bruises on myself first. My mother donated her face to be the bulk of my project, and I transformed one half into a zombie, and the other, made up traditionally. I used several reference photos and videos during the process. It took about 7 hours, including clean up time. I was fighting off the flu at the time, and it was important to frequently wash my hands. I hope to get a job as a cosmetic/fashion makeup artist, whether it be freelance, at a set location, or in the special effects field. I would love to be able to do makeup for movies and TV shows in the horror/fantasy genre. I am also interested in skincare, which
Thank you for taking time out of your day to look at my Senior Project Portfolio. Over the past six months, I have been working on learning how to play the piano. Playing a musical instrument has dependably been one of my objective since I was a kid. Learning how to play a musical instrument has been always been a challenge for me. When I think about piano, it is another method for getting away from my life when being stressed just like how art is for me.
From hard work, comes success. At the beginning of the year, I did not know how I was going to be successful when it came to Senior Project. I had multiple ideas with what I wanted to do, I was struggling to find connections, and I was even going to be a part of a completely different group. I tried one idea, that failed. I tried another idea, that failed. I thought to myself, “What am I going to do???” All my ideas had one thing in common: photography. I knew for sure I wanted to use photography as a way to help others or bring awareness to a certain issue. It was not until late September when I figured everything out. It was the end of cheer practice and Ms. Korba was handing out pink cheer bows for us to wear during the month of October
My capstone project is to provide education about cyber bullying cyberbullying. During the course of the capstone project and after finished it, I have learned many leadership skills and developed myself as a nurse. I also discovered my strengths and weaknesses during the course of doing the project.
For my senior project, I wanted to do something to raise awareness on dogs and how we can help the strays in our community. To begin my project I contacted my friend, Amanda, who is a dog trainer and rehabilitator. I interviewed her about her experience with dog shelters and how people like me could contribute to shelters while lacking the skills to train dogs. She gave me insight on what shelters needed to stay up and running and what I, someone with limited funds and resources, could do to help them. Through intense research and interviews with my friend, I was able to accomplish my goal of learning more about shelter life and how I can help. I learned that not all dogs think the same way, therefore, not all dogs are cared for the same way.
I am a student in the Masters of Science in Information Security and Assurance at Western Governors University. I am currently working on my Capstone Project. The capstone project deals with a significant real world business problem that integrates the component of the degree. I have chosen to do my project on how blockchain technology can improve banking and cross-border payment system. I my project I am interested in implementing the ripple payment system using BaaS platform in Azure I my scenario: “ Bank of the People” (fictitious) With 10 billion in assets and process about 12 billion in cross-border transactions a year. I need to know the following for a cost analysis in the three models that Earthport offers financial institutions
Alike many students who had the opportunities to go forward the senior grant project, I not only learned a lot about the process of putting together an event, in addition I was able to learn a lot about myself and what I’m capable of achieving when I put my all into something. Something that I learned was that I must always be able to be flexible with the schedule because things aren't always going to follow through exactly as planned. For example, there were moments when the students were having a conversation on behalf of the topic, but time would force us to move on to the next topic. The students still wanted to continue the previous conversation. This to me was fine and great because it shows that they were interested in the subject. Consequently ,
After recently reviewing for and proctoring the ACT I have rediscovered the value of my Inquiry project. I chose to focus on implementing different practices to teach content literacy. Understanding the terms of the content students are studying and making connections to other courses will help students be more successful overall. This particular topic, I have invested not only this project but also my PDP and SLO for the past two years. I believe it is vital for students to grow their vocabulary and have the skills to decode words they might not yet fully grasp. My focus in the past had been specifically on my sophomore level course, LIfe Science, but working with Katie Bragg
During this part of my senior project, I had many struggles. I procrastinated too long, I got sick one too many times, I did not ask the teacher whose class I was going to present to if I could present early enough so I got points off on my project. I spent almost all of my free time working on this project, including a lot of money. My product cost the most out of this whole project, I had to pay for the paintball and the camera used which cost a pretty penny. The things that took the most amounts of time were, the driving, the editing, the mentor visits, writing the papers, making the simulation, and doing the project in general. Some of the good things I have done this far into the project are, I have found a mentor, I got an interviewee
Your senior thesis in art is a culmination of everything you’ve learned throughout the four years of art school. However, it’s much more than that. It can be the thing that puts you on the front lines of a major issue or problem. It can also push you to try new materials or even work with new people. If you’re about ready to choose your senior project keep the following four pointers in mind. They’ll keep you on the right track. At the same time, they’ll ensure that you turn out a truly unique project.
For my Senior Seminar project, I plan to write a novel. I always had a passion for writing, but I never shared my writing with anyone except teachers for classwork. My whole life people may not know I am actually a very shy person, I have always felt that because I am on an IEP that I have experienced and have felt judgement. I want to get out of my comfort zone and show people my own creativity through the art of writing and show people that just because you are in a different classroom with different people does not mean you are any lower than them. My inspiration to write my novel was my English teacher, Mrs.Cray, she always pushed me to my limits to be a better writer. I may not know a lot about writing a novel, but I am delighted to learn a new experience with characterization, settings, symbolism, and backgrounds and developing a plot line for my story in general. Once I finish with my project I will continue to strengthen my writing skills and publish more
I am excited to present my senior project this trimester. For my senior project, I decided to coach a cheerleading team for kids from eight to twelve years of age. I have been involved in cheerleading for six years and have a very strong passion for the sport. I also enjoy working with kids. In terms of personal development, I hoped to be involved with a project that would strengthen my leadership skills. Therefore, this coaching position acted as the perfect choice for my project.
Coming into senior year, I actually expected the difficulty of the senior project. The senior project is a very time consuming task. It is a major part of determining whether or not we graduate. I never thought that I would be so unsure of my project and what it will require. I need to find out how I will collect my data. I also need to determine my product and how it relates to the project as a whole. An additional issue that I am facing is that I am having trouble putting the concept all together in my mind. Once I actually just use one full moment to gather my thoughts and combine them, I can plan an effective closing project. I want to go out with a bang and finalize the legacy that I am leaving here in Warren County.
For my senior special project, I would like to work with Dr. Chadha and code research throughout the semester and then write a paper based on the findings of the research. Previously, in the 2016-2017 school year, I was Dr. Chadha’s research assistant and I had the responsibility of reading the discussion board posts of her class and then coding the responses into an excel spreadsheet in which we recorded whether the students were being reflective, if they used classroom ideas, if they posed honest questions, and many other variables to get a sense of how students reacted to the discussion questions. I would like to mirror the work I did that year for my senior project. In addition, I will write a paper about online collaborations and discussions
The time I had a problem was in my 12th-grade year, there were senior projects due before we got to graduate on time. Although I found some social solutions with the help of others like my teachers, my principal, and other classmates.
My senior project was a puppy house. A puppy house is a small shed that houses puppies that are older than four weeks. It has heat, water, and insulation. It is meant to house puppies until they are old enough to leave it. I built this puppy house for puppies that could no longer stay in a small cage with their mothers. I also built it because my grandparents needed it before winter.
