I work as a writing tutor at Quinsigamond Community College, we are not allowed to proofread the student's papers, which in turn anger some students who were expecting that service. Whenever problems like those arise I always calmly explain to the student what our policy is and then ask them if they would like to read through and go over their
One of the interesting facts about these videos to me is that University of Phoenix produced and used challenge coin without the approval from the military just to trick veterans to believe that Department of Defense has looked and examined that organization and authorized them in some way to provide them with the
I feel this week was very beneficial to me as well as to my business career. I think the information was helpful and made me understand things better. I was unaware of some of the terms in the book, but learned them. This week was smoother than the first week. I thought the first week has been the toughest so far. I feel I am doing well in the course, but I will continue to do better on my assignments.
On October 27, 2016, we met to obtain clarification on your work destinations and work performed on the day prior.
Although this is my second semester at Liberty University I have already completed the APOL and BIBL course which are required for my degree. As this would conclude the required Bible courses, I just hope to gain knowledge of a different aspect of the Bible. From my experience from the classes I have taken with Liberty University this far I realize that knowledge of the Bible is expected and I hope this course sets me up with more tools to complete various assignments. Through my prior courses this past summer I gained a refresher on things which I learned throughout high school and this course is something that I have actually never taken before. With it being new I just hope it brings insight into topics that are current and hopefully I
Here I stand on the brink of adulthood, a daunting place to exist. I peer over the edge and gaze into a chasm, bright but blurry. I am afraid. I am anxious. But I am hopeful. I am hopeful because I know that my past has defined me, but it is my future that will continue to mold me. As my years as a teenager draw to a close, I find myself reflecting on pivotal moments that taught me what it really means to be a good human being.
Dear journal, today in class I did a multiple choice on the Ethics of Research. I learnt so much from that activity from protecting participants from harm to inform consent. I have erudite that ethical considerations are a significant feature of research that all teacher researcher should be knowledgeable about. During class, the first thought came to my mind about ethics was rules for distinguishing right or wrong. According to Resnik (2015) he believes that Ethics is a norm that distinguish between what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. I think it is imperative for me to adhere to the ethical norms in research in which i will have Informed consent to avoid deception, confidentiality, anonymity, protecting an individual from harm.
For the DOS 3/21/2016-The patient was here for f/u on her last visit that was on 12/8/2015(lower back pain) the patient never said that she was here for F/U labs results for her Papsmear that she get done on 11/09/2015. The patient discuss with the provider about STI and future pregnancy and on that moment the provider advise the patient about her pap labs results. Unfurtanaly we can't FWD the visit to the SFL program b/c their Fiscal year just end. I think we can adjust the visit to the TITLE X program b/c the provider did a STI test on this visit. The provider don't add the procedure for the STI test but is notated on the patient office notes.
I have given quite a few speeches in the last few years, even at such a young age. Though I was proficient when I started this class, I have improved even more in these last six weeks. My strengths definitely fall in my organization and content. However in my delivery I often lack in vocal variety and volume, mostly due to nerves, and I often rushing my conclusions. Due to the rank I have in organizations like the National Honor Society, I will often have to speak in public or address my peers so I plan on continuing to practice for my speeches out loud and hopefully I will improve.
This journal reflection will discuss my expectations for the course, interests in learning, and how I plan to use the course to aid in my work in the adult education field.
As a student at Illinois Valley Community College I have been involved in many organizations and groups. During my first year at IVCC I was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society as well as was named to the IVCC Presidential Honors list. Recently I was recognized at IVCC’s annual student academic honors banquet where I was recognized for having honor roll for two consecutive semesters while being enrolled fulltime. I was selected for several scholarships during my two years at this community college which has helped support my education as well take a burden off my family’s finances. Leadership positions that I have fulfilled is a student ambassador at Illinois Valley Community College. Every week I volunteer my time by working the front desk for an hour on Tuesdays.
During the time spent in this class, I have learned about the methodology of critical thinking and how to better collect relevant information which can be used to formulate an argument. While taking this course, I also can use this within my everyday life when I approach different people from different walks of life. I can say with more certainty that I now have more knowledge which ultimately can be used in my everyday encounters, but more importantly will enhance how I will communicate with people in my civilian work.
This week at Bridge House things are not running so smoothly. After returning from a long weekend I notice a change in the client ratio. Some clients was discharged over the weekend, resulting from unappropriated behaviors. I found the challenge to be the coed residential setting. This setting for some takes the recovery focus away. Individuals begin to form intimate relationships, and lose their focus. They become once again unable to make importance decisions for themselves. As seen with the two clients who decided to leave the program together, and the other two who got caught having imamate contact. I truly think that a rehab setting should not be coed.
Quality work and commitment from every single employee plays an important role in the growth of the company. An Organisation being well managed or having a constant improvement is the result of each and every employee attaining the quality level. On the other hand, lack of commitment from an individual employee could actually disturb the proper functioning of an
The Learning Journal is an important component of your learning in this course. Only you and your instructor will have access to the Learning Journal. You are expected to use it each week to:
1. The first resources that I’ve learned from this course are using the multiple job websites online, we’ve had excellent communication between classmates on how we can benefit from using these sites out and look for specific jobs in our area. This will assist in work as a counselor because it will help in my networking about the city I currently work in and learning about how to make my resume stick out. The second fact that I’ve learned in this course is finding balance in your life so that you can go through the stay focused, during the semester, we had the good discussion about a thing in our life that we enjoy. This all comes down to balance and taking care of ourselves so that we can stay sharp overall. The third fact that I took away from the cause is the process of helping at the veterans in our community; we talked in this course about resources in our society that will assist people that have served in the way. Certain things like VA hospitals and helping them deal with their past trauma. The fourth resource that I took away from this course is learning about the multiple career counseling theories; this will assist in my communication and helping with my client as it relates to their future goals. The fourth fact that I learned from this course is the importance of self-care and making sure every day you are taking good care of yourself to function adequately in general. The fifth fact I took away from this course is how journaling is vital when it comes to
