The first resources that I’ve learned from this course are using the multiple job websites online, we’ve had excellent communication between classmates on how we can benefit from using these sites out and look for specific jobs in our area. This will assist in work as a counselor because it will help in my networking about the city I currently work in and learning about how to make my resume stick out. The second fact that I’ve learned in this course is finding balance in your life so that you can go through the stay focused, during the semester, we had the excellent discussion about a thing in our life that we enjoy. 2. The assignment during the semester has assisted in the knowledge about learning many different career counseling concepts from the task. The first job that I thought was beneficial to me was the lifespan interview assignments; this assignment assisted in my communication skills when it comes to talking with other people about their career. The second transfer that I thought was the most beneficial for this course is about career counseling theories, researching and writing papers on specific career counseling theories helped me from about my identity of what method works best as it connects with my communication with individuals that have questions about what their future wants to look like. 3. The first significant theory John Holland's of Career Choice (RIASEC) maintains that in choosing a career, people prefer jobs where they can be around others who are like them. They search for environments that will let them use their skills and abilities and express their attitudes and values while taking on enjoyable problems and roles. Behavior is determined by an interaction between personality and environment. Holland’s theory is centered on the notion that most people fit into one of six personality types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional.
