In this essay, I will take the position that God waited to create Eve in order to properly prepare Adam to be a husband/leader. Being the very first being created on earth and having no experience in how to live, God would need to teach Adam the necessary steps for a productive and successful life. Especially since there was a fallen being roaming around, God needed Adam’s full attention to establish a relationship with him, teach him the importance of guarding something precious, and that obeying Him leads to prosperity. My first point as to why God delays His creation of Eve is so that God can first establish a relationship with Adam. In Chapters 2. 7, 2. 8 and 2. 15, you see God creating man after His own image. What’s interesting is that verse 8 says, “The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed”. When God created man, He specifically placed him in the eastward, area in the garden of Eden. Then in verse 15 it says, “Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden”. This verse implies that God takes him from the eastward spot and places him in another spot of Eden. The question we could ask ourself is: Why would God make the man, put him on the east side of Eden, but then take him out and place him in another part of Eden? The Bible does not give us a descriptive reason for Adam’s first placement and his movement to another, but what we can know is that God was spending time with Adam. Looking at the time

In “Playing God in the Garden” by Michael Pollan, Pollan heavily researches genetically altered food more specifically genetically modified potatoes. He focuses on what it is how it's grown what the F.D.A thinks of it, how it looks and compares and contrast it too other non-genetically modified potatoes. God created everything from nothing; to be perfect from his perspective. Human nature is revealed from Genesis one with God creating the Earth and the Heavens and creating the man of his likeness. The Bible explains how God created the man named Adam from the dust and was placed in the Eden’s Garden (Genesis 2:7). Adam helped God to take care of the land and all his creation. The Bible explains, Humanity was created to work and serve, keep the garden (Genesis 2:15). Subsequently, Eve was created; “God had created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him: male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27). Adam and Eve would help God because He wanted them to multiply the Earth by taking care of his creations (Hiles & Smith, 2014). God is the sovereign ruler which he created humanity as how he should have wanted. The Bible explains about human nature that God created everything to be distinct from animals and all His creation. Humankind is able to show on our nature because we are capable of reasoning. God created all differently and we were all born naked and pure as Adam and Eve were. As Genesis is the first book of the bible and verses 1:1-2:3 are the first accounts, it is essential that the story that proceeds be examined. What is then discovered is another account about creation. This creation story is similar to the first account but it can be seen that God ‘is not working to a pre-planned strategy’ , this then ‘hints at a measure of vulnerability in the Creator’ in the second creation account which is a stark difference to the first story of creation where God is viewed as ‘is a king who does all things well: in his own judgement, it is 'very good'. He alone is responsible for creation: his voice alone is heard; he consults no one for wisdom or advice’ . Incorporating the world behind the text and the world of the text we are able to get a more cohesive experience about what the story is telling us, in this case what Genesis 1:1-2:3 is actually referring to. In the beginning, God created the heavens, and the Earth. The angels, and the humans. The sky, the land, the sea. Plants and animals. When he created humans he instructed them to protect and nurture the world. Adam and Eve were the very first protectors of the garden, and the earth. they would never reach their full potential, as Lucifer the angel saw it, he wanted to help them. He told Adam and Eve to eat from the tree and They would be free to do as she wanted in the world she could choose her destiny.
The question that I will be exploring over the course of this essay is: What is the best explanation we can give why Adam and Eve take of the forbidden fruit in the Genesis story of the Fall ( see Genesis 1-3 )? I will be dividing this essay into two sections and look at two aspects: Theological and Philosophical. In regards to this I will also look at the Genesis story and outline three things:
Ross’ (2000) article ‘Curriculum Gardening’ explores the notion of a garden as a metaphor for curriculum in education. According to the Catholic Education Office Sydney (2014), the curriculum is not just a document, but a framework that is put in place to nurture student learning and allow students to be engaged in meaningful and purposeful learning experiences that will create life-long learners. It is Ross’ view that ‘Curriculum Gardening’ is a sound metaphor, because just like a garden students are given the chance to grow and learn.
At this juncture, God has to modify his plans a little. Mankind will not, as he had hoped, go on living forever in ignorance and worship. So he concedes the loss and kicks Adam and Eve out of the garden. He still needs someone to confirm his greatness however, and so mankind will now operate essentially on its own in the world, and with free will. They will still be required to worship him, or receive punishment for disobedience. If all the events up until this point have been acting in accordance with some perfect plan, why then did God not just start out with Adam and Eve in the outside world, with free will? Wouldn’t it be easier to just jump from point A to point E, and just skip B, C and D?
In the beginning of the Bible in the Book of Genesis, it is revealed to use in 1:26-27 that God has created man in his image. The text verbatim states “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” From this distinct text we can clearly conclude that when ad created man and woman, they were destined to be in God’s image and carry his image throughout his creation. Eve’s “lowliness majestic” is perhaps what enchants Adam the most. He is captivated and totally mystified by Eve’s very nature. Adam seems to understand the nature of humanity based on the qualities that he sees in himself, which at first seems safe, as he is the first man. However, he is perplexed by Eve’s completeness—perhaps because the qualities that Eve lacks are the ones that Adam values most in himself! Beholding his wife, he remarks that by design and intention she is his “inferior” (541): her “inward faculties” (542) are not as useful as his own, and she does not as closely resemble the Maker as he does (543-44). She is not designed, as Adam is, with the desire or capacity to rule over the other creatures (544-46). These things are not true of Eve, so Adam finds it difficult to understand why she seems “in herself complete” (548). He marvels that even as she lacks the qualities that resemble the Maker, she seems “so absolute,” not lacking anything (547).
