Shooting 100%
I wake up grab my lacrosse stick, ball and head outside. Grab the net and started to shoot. I play of my state lacrosse team we have our first tournament this weekend and I don’t wanna be the reason that we lose. I was originally a D-pole for my city team but my coach for state thought otherwise. I could run the field in 20 seconds flat. At least that is what my coach said. I started out the day with a couple fakes and spin moves nothing hard just the kind of stuff you need to know when you want to start. My sister decides to come and play me in a 1v1 (me and my sister are competitive) I accept so we go to the plains across the street I bring the net along with us. I just school her badly 10:0 she challenged me at my own game 1st mistake.
We head back every day I have lacrosse practice at 3:30 until 5:30 that is the best practice ever because all we do is get in the middle and get on top both 1v1 games against your own teammate. I used to play D-pole like I said but now it is easier to use a short pole. I go through my day of 3 hours in the morning of practice at the plains across the street and hanging with friends doing more lacrosse. Then it becomes 3 and I have to leave for lacrosse so I grab my gear bag and longer leaving my long pole there.
We reach the area of where I practice I’m usually the first one there but everyone is ready and geared up and warming up I was late for the first time in my life my dad is so mad. “Get out there Jax you're late I
For decades the sport of lacrosse has been played around the world. Originating in North America, lacrosse was played by the Native Americans for a variety of reasons. Known as “The Creators Game”, Lacrosse was used as a substitute for war and in spiritual practices as well. Lacrosse began with simple and elegant sticks, but with the use of technology has being adopted lacrosse now uses pads such as helmets and gloves as well as sticks that are made from metal. Throughout the Native Americans history the game was originally played by men and with the same rules, in the current era this has all changed. Throughout its existence, lacrosse was perceived as a brutal and violent sport that was played by savages, but it actually has a expansive history and meaning.
Lacrosse is the oldest team sport in North America, having been played by Native American tribes long before any European had even set foot on the continent. A century after European missionaries discovered the game played by Native Americans, they began to play it themselves, starting in the 18th century. From there, it evolved and grew in popularity from a very savage game that resembled war, into what it is today, a recreational sport played widely in America and other countries. As U.S. Lacrosse literature aptly puts it "Lacrosse is a game born of the North American Indian, christened by the French, adopted and raised by the Canadians, and later dominated by the Americans.”
The heat bears down on me, as I feel my skin burning in the hot summer sun. Dust and dirt floats around the air and a thin layer of grime covers my entire body. Sweat drips around my goggles while adrenaline fills my body and my heart races. In the middle of nowhere in Virginia, I feel at home, I feel the turf under my cleats and the cool metal of the stick in my hands. As the timer ticks down, the buzzer rings, and the game begins. I look to my left and see my dad sitting on the sideline, ready to cheer as loud as possible. To my right I find my teammates, the most loyal group of friends I have, ecstatic about the potential of winning.
Lacrosse has been around since the 1400’s, and is coming back today as one of the U.S.’s most popular sports
On what I have read about Tennyson I am not surprised by his reaction towards Brewsters help during his lacrosse games. The reason why I am not surprised by his reaction is because Tennyson loves to winn and is very competitive, so when he had Brewsters help he got upset because he thought that he was getting better as a player. Also Tennyson feels like he cheated in the lacrosse game. When he saw Brewster on his side in pain and that he was there at the game Tennyson got mad and felt super bad because he knew that Brewster was feeling his pain instead of hin feeling it. I think that Tennyson wants to feel his own pain, because he will know when the pain is too much and he can stop playing, but when Brewster is taking his pain he doesn't know
Clea attends music lessons every 2 weeks, dance class every 3 weeks, and has a dental appointment every 6 weeks. If she attended all three this week, when will she attend all three again? Clea will attend all 3 in 6 weeks.
Lacrosse is not just a sport nor a hobby; it is a way of life. Teammates are not just friends, they are family. To illustrate, lacrosse forms bonds just as strong as friendships and family. In my opinion, lacrosse is an encouraging, sublime sport that should be apart of everybody’s lives. First or all, I play lacrosse for many reasons. To begin, I am my team’s goalie, and will hopefully play goalie during my high school career. I played the field for two years (beginning in third grade), and goalie for three more, landing me here in my fifth year of lacrosse. I play to help my team, encourage them, tell them where an open player is, and most importantly, I play for my love of the sport and my teammates. Every year, I look forward to the season to
One accomplishment I have achieved is making the A team for the united lacrosse travel team. This an important accomplishment because it can help me with academics greatly and can give me options in the future if i decide to keep playing. Another reason why this is an important accomplishment is because lacrosse strengthens my speed, athleticism and coordination. Lacrosse is also my favorite sport to play because I love the physicality of the sport and love evading or running away from players. Lacrosse is important to me because I love playing it and it can help me be more successful in my future
Lacrosse is a physical sport between two teams. Lacrosse is defined as a ball game invented by American Indians, now played by two teams who try to propel a ball into each other's goal by means of long-handled hooked sticks that are loosely strung with a kind of netted pouch (Farlex, Inc.). Behind every shot taken in a lacrosse game, elements of biomechanics are implemented. Biomechanics is the “sport science” field that applies the laws of mechanics (movements, body angles, joint positions, etc.), biomedical engineering, and physics (gravity, forces, velocities, etc.) to athletic performance (What is 3D Biomechanics).
Lacrosse was started by Native Americans in the seventeenth century and is still around being played today. William George Beers was the one who changed the rules from the Indian rules to the ones that today’s game is based off of. Why did he change the rules so much and did it help today’s game?

Our claim was accepted because as the years have gone on lacrosse has grown with it. As mankind continues to flourish with technical advancements they continue to do better in their daily lives. This determination to do better can be seen in the fast paced game of lacrosse. Lacrosse was started by the Native Americans and was originally known as stickball. Both Lacrosse and Ice hockey are two sports that share similar aspects. One example would be that they both require plenty of athletic prowess, as well as countless hours of training and practice to master. The high amount of contact in both sports enables a player to become both physically and mentally "tough". Lacrosse has grown to its highest level of popularity it has ever reached over the last ten years. Ice hockey has seen a steady climb in its popularity over the past 25 years making it one of the most popular sports in not only Long Island, but all across the U.S. However, there are many differences as well, and we should not overlook the fact that there are plenty of distinctions between the two
