I am so excited to be given the chance to serve on Crimson Club. I was quite surprised when I was notified of my acceptance into the organization. Going into the application process, I was not expecting to get in, mainly because I did not mean to apply for Crimson Club. I actually thought I was applying for Camp Crimson, whose title has the same initials and one of the same words. It was a trivial error on my part. When I received a notice that I was given an interview, however, I was ecstatic to give it a chance. I was hoping to really pour a lot of time and energy into Camp Crimson and my campers, but since I got this instead, I fully intend on taking that same energy and putting it towards The University of Oklahoma. I am prepared
I have served in DECA as an officer since 10th grade when I was chosen to be Sophomore Representative. I have made it to the state level and received at least one award each year since starting in 9th grade. I also served as CFO in 11th grade, the youngest person to hold the position. During this time, I set up an inventory and sales tracking system for the school’s concession stand which serves as a fundraiser for competitors and the club. I was also chosen to be one of two Co-Presidents of the club for my senior year, and am working towards an even more successful club than of years
I have been a part of almost every club available to me at Northeast Jones High School and in my community during my time in high school years. Some of the clubs that I am involved in are Beta Club, Serteens (president 2015-2016), Student Council (treasurer 2015-2016), Future Business Leaders of America, Teens Getting Involved for the Future, Key Club, Junior Auxiliary’s Crown Club, Yearbook, and Future Leaders of Jones County. My involvement in all of these clubs have helped me realize how important it is to be involved with my community in order for me to give back. I feel that it is necessary to be extremely involved before being selected for the Luckyday Scholarship, and it would be such a great reward for always giving to those in need to be selected for the Luckyday Scholarship. Because I have been involved with so many clubs and extracurricular activities that serve our community, I will not have a problem juggling academics with any clubs I might join at the University of Southern
To proving that I’m eligible for this incredible honor and responsibility will be challenging for my actions do not reflect my true character. This organization can help me show my beautiful colors and share with the
I am honored to be a recipient of this scholarship. The Bones ColorGuardians have been there for me since the beginning of my journey, whether it be for something serious like leg wraps or tiger balm to something as small as chapstick. I thank everyone who has been a part of this organization, because without them this corps wouldn’t what it is today. The bcg has been one of the biggest influences in my life, both on and off the field. I was born and raised in Odessa, Texas, so there is not much of any DCI or band influence. I was introduced to the organization when Odessa hosted Thunder In The Desert, as soon as I saw Crossmen's show "Fragile", I knew I had to be a part of the organization. With the help of my family, friends, and sponsors
When becoming an Alum of the best university, Oklahoma State University, I want to continue to support the university that helped to further my future. Spreading the word of the opportunities that Oklahoma State offers has a large impact on the number of students that attend this university. I plan to let many potential students know what this college has done and continues to do for me. I would love to see that Alpha Zeta has a large role in campus activities, and continues to grow membership each year. With a large student involvement, and respect among campus this organization has only a bright
Kemps Landing/Old Donation School is a school full of bright young scholars. At this school, throughout my 6th and 7th grade years, I have been involved and dedicated, In NJHS, I would be compelled to contribute to KLMS, because it has contributed to my character. My future academic plans include going to an academy to challenge myself and excel. NJHS is a highly respectable society, in which I would find much in common with my peers. Additionally, I respect everyone around me. I value my education immensely. My honesty is proven when I received an award in 6th grade for the Principals of American Citizenship. I will continue to work hard, maintain my academic status, and uphold principles of morality and ethics. In my community service I help
I would like to become an active member of Carrboro High School National Honor Society, because I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve and improve the community with other like-minded students. I believe it is important to balance academics, athletics, and community service. For example, this year I am taking 5 AP classes, running cross-country and track, and have spent almost 150 hours volunteering in the community. The first time I volunteered was when I raised a diabetic alert dog with my family. Even though I was sad to see the dog I had raised go, it was a rewarding experience because I knew that the dog would help someone have a better life. Anytime I can find an opportunity to both improve myself and the community, I won’t hesitate to seize it. I found the opportunity to do just that at both Shodor and CHCCS Project Graduation.
I am seeking membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated because I want to grow and contribute my time and talent to an illustrious, originating organization. I aspire to be a part of a sisterhood where I can express myself, and have my skills nourished by prospering African –American women. This summer I was involved in a traumatic car accident and survived, tragically two of my dearest friends did not. On the car third spin I squeezed my eyes shut, and braced myself for a collision. Suddenly, the car jolted forward and flipped. At that very moment I realized that I am here for a greater purpose, and vowed to take the necessary steps to fulfill that purpose. God is not finished with me yet, and I do not want to sit on my Lord.
I am genuinely honored to be one of the few students considered for acceptance to the State College Area High School chapter of the National Honor Society. I feel that my hard work and dedication in academics is beginning to show through. Throughout my life, I have shown drive and devotion for everything in which I have been involved, ranging from athletics to academics. My mentality has always been focused on helping others. For this reason, I aspire to become an orthopedic surgeon so that my career will evolve around helping others to get the most out of their lives. My summer will be spent volunteering at Phoenix Rehab for fourteen hours each week as it will allow me to begin providing care to the community. Currently holding an unweighted
The stories ‘The History of Virginia’ and ‘plymouth plantation’ have many similarities and differences. However they were both two great stories. I enjoyed The History of Virginia the most because of John Smith. John Smith was a great captain towards his people. Although he does brag about himselves. This two stories share a lot similarities however in my opinion this two stories are hard to understand.
Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated have made everlasting effects on my life. Having mentors in this fraternity allowed me to see how every member feels responsible for improving the communities that they are from. They never hesitate to take the leadership roles that are needed to see change. I would like to become a member of Alpha Phi Alpha because it would allow us to share a brotherhood with great men, it will allow me to make valuable connections with other positive men around the world, and it will help me become the best version of myself. My desire to become a member of this fraternity began my freshmen year after I attended the first informational meeting. At this meeting I was able to speak with members and also learn from them. They each have strong leadership characteristics that allow them to serve on executive boards across campus and they all are high achieving students at Cornell.
As I sought out to become a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. I saw that the organization matches my personality and what I stand for. My true passion is to make a difference in this world, I desire to make a significant impact on the lives of the youths to inspire them to reach their full potential. I know that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity was established to accomplish the same things that I do, this is one of the many reasons I aspire to join this great fraternity.
\There is a substantial amount of Americans today who have attained the American Dream, such as Oprah Winfrey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Steve Jobs, but does any American still have a chance at the American Dream? The authentic American Dream is known as owning land and having riches, opportunity and promise Today, Americans do not have a chance at the American Dream due to the lack of effort in the majority of America’s people, where an Americans' home is affecting that person’s chance for opportunity, and the large gap between a prosperous community and a distressed community in America.
